But on Sunday evening, Nov. 3 some smart alccks decided to do something just great. They knocked down the stand that holds three mail boxes on the corner of Grandview and Hilltop. When I discussed the matter with a neighbor it seems that they had quite a bit of destruction on their property for Halloween and it seems that another family even had their lamp post broken in front of their home. Well, now, I think it is utterly disgusting that anyone would find "pleasure" in this sort of "fun." Really, whoever is responsible should grow up. They jUst might find out that it's really nice being a grownup and acting like one. In the meantime, this is a warning, to whom it may concern. By damaging the mail box stand you are tampering with the United States post office property; and this is considered a federal offense. One of the people involved have a very in the Richard Thompson home last Saturday evening. The entire Hogun family was in attendance. On Friday, Mrs. Montgomery of Rockford called in the home of Mrs. Nellie Hepburn. Mrs. John Ehlert and Mabel of Wilmot, Wis., spent Tuesday and Wednesday in the home1 of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowman. Mrs. James Wegener and Jane Leonard called in the Robert Brennan home on Sunday. Loren Harrison was a supper guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brennan on Wednesday Mrs. Nellie Hepburn spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs Robert Schuet/e in Wauwatosa, Wis. Mrs. Fred Bowman of Wonder Lake and Mrs. Millie Rush of Richmond called in the home of Mrs. John Ehlert at Wilmot, Wis., on Friday. That's the news from Ringwood for this week See you next? Bye. definite clue to the culprit, so prehaps that individual would like to come forward and admit to the damage and save himself some trouble. If not, I guarantee that when caught by other methods you will be turned over to the proper authorities. Unexpected Company My folks, Laura and A1 Holtfodt, received a phone call last Sunday. It turned out that Laura's sister, Clara Herman, and her two daughters, Lorraine Warzecha and Dorothy Zmuda, plus their two children, had decided to take a drive out; but halfway here they developed severe car trouble and their call was a call for help. Laura's daughter, Loretta Mikkelsen, drove out to pick them up and when they got to the Holtfodts they called Lorraine's husband to come out and take them home later. What a sljame* Here they try to perform an act of kindness by driving out to visit Mom and Dad; not only that but they brought an entire dinner with them besides; and then this has to happen. Oh, well, they enjoyed a nice visit in spite of the trouble. SEHOA Meeting Results The main results of the meeting held last Friday was that there will be a petition circulated for signatures for the blacktopping of the roads. This would have been unnecessary if the attendance at the meeting had been greater and therefort more accomplished in evening. Let's hope for better attendance and cooperation in the future.
