Ordinary laundering usually removes these from washables. Sponge unwashables with carbon tetrachloride. You can FREEZE COOKED FOOD safely. And that's true of any cooked meats, poultry or even beef stew. That the meat may have been frozen before it was cooked doesn't affect it. As long as it's the first time the "cooked" food is frozen, it will retain its flavor and won't spoil. Cool food as quickly as possible after cooking. Put in refrigerator or ice water until ready to package in small portions. It will now freeze and thaw much faster, retaining its original good, cooked taste. You can make last year's RUBBER OVERSHOES more presentable for the coming slushy season by washing in water containing Jew drops of ammonia. Then give them a thin coating of liquid shoe dressing. WAXING FLOORS is always a job, but you can make sure you get best results, plus better-looking, longer-lasting floors. Jutt choose the wax best suited to your flooring material and equipment available. Use paste wax on wood floors (especially if very worn or very new). Never use paste on tile. Liquid cleaning polishing waxes are mostly all-purpose, except for tile. But careful! They both tend to yellow light floor coverings. Use seif-polishing waxes on light-colored floors and tile; on others (including wood) only when finish is in good condition. Never use on worn floors of those not water-tight (unsealed cork, concrete, etc.). Use buffable type with a floor polisher; the non-scuff type without.
