The Sacrament of Baptism was administered to Mr. Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. Durfee and Mrs. McGowan. On Thursday, March 19 at 8 p.m. the senior choir, will hold rehearsal. Friday, March 20, at 3:30 p.m., junior eholr researsal will be held. Palm Sunday, March 22, 11 a.m., the sermon will be entitled 'The Palm Sunday Mlrrow." There will be special music by the senior choir and the junior choir. Youth confirmation and baptisms will take place. Tuesday, March 24, at 8 p.m. the Fifth Word from the Cross and special anthem will be given, and on Wednesday, the Sixth Word from the Cross and special solo will be given. Maundy Thursday, March 26, at 8 p.m., the Seventh Word from the Cross and special anthem and the sacrament of Holy Communion Ptoce. ' will take . < Around die Manor. • Lucky little Robin Tuclcer was a fourth prize winner in a Christmas Card contest and won a pen and pencil set, and a travelling alarm clock. On Saturday afternoon Ernie Kuck had a birthday party with Denny and Terry Woolwine, James Qual, and brother, Gene, and Rickie Woolwine helping him celebrate. Games were played and cake and ice cream were served. Sunday brought Eleanor's brother, Art Weyde, and family of Lake Zurich, cousin, LU Bonk, and daughter, Dorothy, and Uncle Bill Kuck were all over for supper. Later in the evening Tom and Betty Schweiss and family of Fox Lake arrived for cake and ice cream. Visiting the Mel Qriffeths as an overnight guest was Mel's mother, Mrs. Griffeth, of Chicago. Friday afternoon, March 6, Larry Moore and children took a ride to Wauconda to visit Larry's mother and dad, Mr. and Mrs. Golze. ..After supper Mr. Golze and the Moore children went to the Wauconda high school to see a special performance put on by the grade school. Their cdtisin, Susan Musynski, took part in the program. After thpjr"returned to Grandm^sTtairy took them to Island Lake to visit her aunt, Mrs. William Kelch, and Gil joined them there after work. To Debbie Hansen who became 3 years old and Spring Oioti Rabid Skunk Killed In Area ' Eva Freoad Positive evidence that a rabid skunk . has been in the vicinity of Blevin Street and East Court area came this week with a lab report from Chicago. The rabid skunk was shot in back of the post office to Jim Wilson who all share March IT, St. Patrick's Day, as their natal day. And last but not least to Judy Huemann who is celebrating her birthday today. ? Rabies Enforcing Officer Edward Jelinek of Mc- Henry said a survey would be made in a several block area to be sure all dog owners take their pets to a veterinarian to be examined as a precautionary measure. State law requires that dogs be vaccinated against rabies every year. Even so, Mr. Jelinek urges that all dogs in the area where the skunk was found roaming be examined. Should a dog have been bitten and it Was not vaccinated, rabies would result in a period extending up to thirty days. Village Police Deputy Robert Oxtoby was called to the area last week on reports that a skunk was acting in a peculiar manner. Mr. Jelinek ordered the animal shot and the head .was sent to the laboratory for a finding. Hospitalized Mrs. Ruby Larsen, a teacher at Spring Grove school, was a patient in McHenry hospital with a virus infection this week. Fifteen members were present. At this meeting Mrs. Nancy Thompson Williams, a recent bride, was honored at a kitchen shower. A delicious lunch was served.
