A pretty wedding was sol- -etnnized iri ' Ziori Lutheran 'church last Saturday, March 14, when Mls3 Judith Seifert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Seifert of 1706 North avenue, Lakeland Shores, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. Joseph Tinch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tinch of Crystal Lake. Rev. Carl Lobitz officiated at the 2 o'clock ceremony. Miss Seifert was pretty In a waltz length gown of white, trimmed with lace, sequins and pearls, and featuring threequarter length sleeves. Her short veil fell from a jeweled headpiec6 and she carried, a circular bouquet of white carnations. Her only attendant was Nancy Olson of Woodstock, a close friend. Miss Olson wore an aqua dress, circular headpiece with veil, and a pink and white carnation corsage. Vera Bruno of Crystal Lake served the groom as best man. Mrs. Seifert chose a deep pink crepe dress and a corsage of white carnations and deep red roses. Dinner followed' the ceremony for thirty relatives arid friends at the McHenry Country Club. The couple left on a few days' honeymoon trip into Wisconsin. They will make their future home in Crystal Lake. The bride is a 1963 graduate of the McHenry high school and is employed as secretary for Atty. LeRoy Welter. The bridegroom is an employee of Precision Twist in Crystal Lake. JACOLYN McLELAND Nebraska Girl Will Wed William Sheehan Mr. and Mrs. Lester McLeland of McCook, Neb., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacolyn Valere, to William Dennis Sheehan, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Sheehan of Chicago and grandson of Mrs. Rose Sheehan of Mineral Springs. Miss McLeland is a graduate of McCook high school and has attended Nebraska Wesleyan, the University of Nebraska, and St. Luke's School of Nursing. She is a member of Delta Zeta sorority. Mr. Sheehan is a graduate of Saint George high school in Evanston. He attended Lewis college in Joliet and is presently stationed at Fort Carson, Colo., as a member of the United States Army. Shrimps Creole 1 lb. or 1 can cooked shrimps 2 cups tomato-juice 1 green pepper (or 1 tbsp. pepper flakes) 1 onion 2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp.. sugar, salt and pepper Cut pepper and onion into strips.. Simmer with tomato juice, to which sugar has been added. Cook 15 minutes, then add shrimp. Blend together the melted butter and flour and stir slowly into the .shrimp mixture. Cook until smooth and thickened. Season to taste. Serve on hot toast or cooked rice. Miss Kathryn Curran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Curran of McHenry, has been elected external vice-president of WISA at the University of Illinois, the Women's Independ ent Student association. The organization includes about 4,- 000 young women. Miss Curran is also representative to the Student Senate, serves on the committee on student affairs, the WISA Pan Hellenic coordinators' committee and parliamentarian for the WISA executive Council. PAUL'S ATTEND ANNUAL QUIET DAY The annual quiet day for the Women of the Waukegan deanery was held at Christ church in Waukegan on Thursday, March 12. The day started at 10 o'clock with Communion. Luncheon was served at 12:30 and all returned home at 2:30. Conducting the day's events was Bishop Montgomery. The women attending Quiet Day from St. Paul's church were Mrs. Stanley Banach, Mrs. James Brodie, Mrs. John Korner and Mrs. Robert Hess. Burns, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burns of McHenry, has earned academic Honors for the first six-week graduig period of the second semester at Wentworth Military academy. Burns earned superior grades to qualify for the dean's special distinction list. Cadets, who earn academic honors during the specified grading periods at Wentworth are accorded extra privileges and are permitted to wear the scholastic bar on their uniforms.
