Terrace Teens No Delinquent* A note of recognition to foul" Terrace boys who have taken on the job this summer of seeing that the beach has at least a path and small area near the beach cut down. The association couldn't see their way clear to having the beach mowed weekly as in the past with funds so low. Dieter Hemkendries, Chuck Lima and Steve and Jim Phillips went ahead on their own and are doing a fine job. Teen-age statistics could use a few more good reports like these boys. Sympatfly Not* Ohr sympathy to the family of Nancy Piatt who passed away suddenly recently. Nancy will be certainly missed by all who came in contact with her. We had many nice talks with Nancy when gathering the Johnsburg grade school news for this column. It's been a shock to us all, and one not fully realized until the beginning of the new school term without faithful Nancy. METHODIST CONFERENCE Thirty delegates from the Ftock River conference will attend the jurisdictional conference of the Methodist church at Cleveland " July 8 to 12. Three and possibly four new bishops will be elected for the nine-state jurisdiction, a new bishop will be assigned to the Chicago area, and the jurisdiction will probably vote to receive the transfer of the Lexington (Negro) conference into its boundaries and with it, the newly-elected Central Jurisdiction bishop, James S. Thomas. The Central Jurisdiction has temporarily designated Chicago as Bishop Thomas' headquarters instead of St. Louis, where his predecessor, Bishop Matthew W. Clair, Jr., resided. At Cleveland he will be assigned somewhere within the jurisdiction. Retiring at the conclusion of the Cleveland conference will be Bishop Charles W. Brashares of Chicago.
