HEAT WAVES AND INFANTS can be awfully "crying" on mothers But a gentle sponging in a warm bath several times a day will certainly help. If the child is about a year old, give him a cool spray afterward. Most important is drying a baby's tender skin, giving special care to toes, around ears, and to the tiny creases in arms and legs. Always powder on talcum after his bath. At night, don't be afraid of air conditioning or cross ventilation in the child's bedroom. The only thing to avoid is a draft blowing directly on him. Just dress him in a light shirt and diaper -- or just diaper. Cover Baby with a sheet loose enough to allow turning freely. WIND-BLOWN HATS? Not only does the comb secure your bonnet in place without showing, but the comb goes thru hair without mussing it.
