A STIUNli OF PEARLS is usually the one good piece of jeweliy a woman likes to own. But cultured pearls (natural ones being completely out of the question) can vary greatly in quality and, of course, price. You can tell cultured from imitation pearls by their deep glow, as opposed to a surface shine. Also, imitation pearls look too perfect -- too round and smooth. The price of cultured pearls is determined by size and perfection ol shape. To keep cost down, pay more attention to their lustre and color lhnn\to roundness. Pearls can come in several colors, and you should pick the color that goes best with your complexion and hair, When you examine pearls, take them near a window so you can see them Jn daylight (but not sunlightK Fleetric lights are not I he best way to judge their lustre.
