PUT NEW AUTO LICENSE PLATES ON SHOPPING LIST Put your 1965 auto license plates on your Christmas shopping list, Secretary of State William H. Chamberlain has suggested. Not only will early application for the new plates relieve motorists of any further concern about meeting the Feb. 15 deadline for displaying 1965 plates, their applications can be processed faster now than will be possible during the January and early February peak load period, Mr. Chamberlain pointed out. Over-the-counter applicants in Springfield and Chicago can get immediate service now, as there have been no lines at the cages since the initial rush the first day plates were on sale, he said. So far in this licensing period, only about 700,000 vehicles have been registered of an expected total of 4,650,000, Secretary Chamberlain said. This is about 100,000 less than were registered at this time a year ago, he added. SCIENCE TOPIC Christian healing wHi be the. theme of a Bible lesson to be presented in McHenry's Christian Science church this Sunday. The subject is "Christian Science."
