Karen Alice Kralowetz, daughter of Sirs. Julia Kralowetz of McHenty and Robert Kralowetz of .Woodstock, became the bride of Mr.- John Wesley Blackwell. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William Blackwell of Wilmette. Rev. Ernest Carder officiated at the 2 o'clock double ring, nuptial service. Soloist for the wedding was Mrs. Louis puddleston, accompanied by Mrs. Barbara Sherman on the organ. Mrs. Duddleston sang "Ich Liebe Dich", 'Through the Years" and "The Lord's Prayer." Church decorations were bouquets of white poinsettias and smllax. . The pretty dark-haired bride given in marriage by her father, selected an ivory satin bridal gown, styled with long sleeves, ?scoop neckline and lace applique on the sleeves and skirt, the latter extending into a chapel train which was detachable. Her "something borrowed" was an heirloom Brussels lace man- .tilla purchased in Europe by the groom's mother, and she carried a bouquet of white poinsettias and orchids. . Miss Nancy Kralowetz of McHenry acted as maid of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were the Misses Judie Blackwell of Wilmette, sister of the grOom and the bride's sorority sister; Lynne Buckie and Judy Hans of McHenry and Mary K. Walsh of Libertyville, all friends of the bride. They were attired in Christmas red crystalette peau de soi, floor length dresses, fashioned with elbow length sleeves and scoop necklines. Dior bows forrfied the headpieces and they carried white muffs with red poinsettias. Colin Campbell Johnston of Winnetka served his cousin as. best man and groomsmen were Robert B)akeney, - fi u r k ,e; Chandler and Gerald Har.tman, all of East Lansing, Mich., fraternity brothers; and Rolph Heinemann of Kenilworth, a friend. Bruce Black\yell, brother of the groom, served as the stately ring bearer. Fdr\her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Kralowetz wore an aqua brocade dress and jacket, matching accessories and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Blackwell was attired in a champagne beige, brocade jacket dress with matching accessories and an orchid corsage. A reception was held at the McHenry Country Club,: with a buffet supper served to 225 guests. The couple left later on a trip to the Bahamas and upon their return will reside until March of 1965 in East Lansing. Mich. The bride is an M.C.H.S. graduate and received her degree from Michigan State university in March of 1964. She has been employed at the Easter Seal Therapy center in Woodstock, where she acted as supervising speech therapist. Her husband is also a graduate of Michigan State at the same time and will receive his master's degree in business admini- EVA BACON SUNDAY BRIDE OF CHARLES SPARKS Mrs. Eva Bacon and Mr. Charles Sparks were married tn a pretty pre-holiday nuptial rite solemnized in the Community Methodist church on Sunday, Dec. 20. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lester Adams of McHenry and the groom is the son of Mr. Fred Baumgarte of Zeigler, 111. Rev. Ernest Carder officiated at the 4 o^glpck afternoon service. Mrs. Bacon chose a white lace over taffeta, street length dress, with which she wore a white orchid corsage. The couple was attended by the bride's son and daughterin- law, Mr. and Mrs. Lester D. Bacon of McHenry. Her matron of honor wore a blue lace dress and orchid corsage. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Adams chose a green wool dress with orchid corsage. A reception for sixty friends and relatives immediately followed the service. The bride and groom left early this week for Zeigler, in the southern part of the state, where they will spend Christmas. The couple will make their home at 3706 W. John street. The bride is serving as township assessor in McHenry and the .groom is auto salesman for the Bernard Chevy- Olds agency in Libertyville* McHenry Hospital Mr. and Mrs. Willis McGinnis of Wauconda are parents of a son Dec. 12. A daughter was born Dec. 17 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Amore, Solon Mills. Mr. and Mrs. James French became parents of a son Dec. 16: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Foreri> an of Wauconda announce the birth of a daughter Dec. 20. Other Births On Nov. 30 a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Krepel at Sherman hospital, Elgin. The young lad weighed S lbs., 12 ozs., and has two sisters and a brother. Mr. and Mrs. William Hermann are the proud parents of their fifth child and first son. William Michael was bo*n Dec. 16 at Sherman hospital, Elgin. His sisters are Peggy, Patty, Susan and Carol. The baby is the forty-first grandchild of Mrs. A. P. Freund. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Hormonn, Sr., of Crv^al Lake and he was born on his Grandmother Hermann's birthdav. Following lunch, a short business meeting was held to take up plans for the coming year, discussed at the Dec. 10 directors' meeting. Mrs. George Krickl's resignation as recording secretary was accepted and Mrs. Harold Padgitt was appointed to fill her unexpired term. Mrs. Lillian Cox will speak at the next meeting on "The Growing of Begonias" and "History of Flowers." Stinespring III Will Claim Bride Mr. and Mrs. James Dorrington Van Doren of North Kentyworth avenue, Oak Park, announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Joanhe, to Harry Pierce Stinespring lit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stinespring, of Pistakee Bay, McHenry. Mr. Stinespring has recently been employed as assistant director of admissions at Map- Murray college, in Jacksonville, Illinois. Miller, Scout executive of the Blackhawk Area council. The Order of the Arrow is -comprised of Scouts and Explorers who have been elected by their associates. They have been chosen because of their demonstration of Scout ideals, their dedication to cheerful service and their participation in a number of camping events. The winter party is a traditional function celebrated during the holidays each year. It •provides an opportunity for fellowship, as well as swapping of patches, and tall tales of outdoor experiences. The Townsfolk Singers will provide entertainment immediately following the dinner. A short business meeting will be held and the two directors of the Blackhawk Area Council camps will be introduced durfeg the evening. Riverpark drive, McHenry, and the groom, stationed in Fort Riley, Kans., is the son of Mr. and Mrs« Aquila Woodall of Vincennes, Ind. Mrs. Patricia Kline of Brook, Ind., sister of the bride, and Raymond Wilson, the groom's brother from Montezuma, Ind., attended the couple. The bride is a 1963 graduate of Mount Ayr high school in Mount Ayr, Ind., while the groom graduated three years previous from Vincennes, Ind., high school.
