The American Field Service, with adult chapters, sponsors the bringing to Woodstock of foreign students for a year's study at the local high school and the sending of oiie or more students abroad to live with families there. New Tuna Salad Proves Popular New recipes for tuna salad are high on the "wanted" list of tuna consumers, according to a recent study. Over 66 percent of the women interviewed in the study expressed a desire for more tuna salad recipes. Here's California T u n a Salad that's delectably different. A nippy sour cream marinade and dressing complement the mild tuna flavor. An arrangement of pineapple chunks, sliced cucumber, hnd avocado wedges adds a western totich. California Tuna Salad Platter 1 cup sour cream, divided 1 teaspoon salt, divided % teaspoon Tabasco 3 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 cans (6^ or 7 ounces each) tuna in vegetable oil 1 cup chopped celery Salad greens l/4 cup walnut halves 1 medium avocado, cut into wedges 1 cucumber, sliced 1 can (1 pound, 4 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoons capers , 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley Combine Vz cup jpf the sour Tabasco and 2 1 tablespoons of cream, xk tetespbon of the salt, the lemon juice; mix well. Toss with tuna and celery. Cover platter with salad greens. Spoon tuna mixture in mound in center; garnish with walnut halves. Arrange avocado, cucumber and pineapple around tuna. For dressing, blend together remaining V2 cup sour cream, xk teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, sugar, capers and parsley. Pass dressing with salad. POOLS PROPERS Public swimming pools continue to rise in popularity, according to the Illinois Departmen of Public Health, which reviews and approves plans and issues permits for construction of all new pools, both outdoor and indoor, and for improvement of pools. By the end of November, 123 permits had been issued this year, most of them for construction of new pools. Approximate cost of the 123 projects is $6.5 million. There are now nearly 1,300 public swimming pools in Illinois.
