Still Hill Drive passed away on the 17th in Harvard Memorial hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born in Brazil, Ind., on Dec. 9, 1894 and had lived here for almost two years. He is survived by his widow, Marjprie. Services and burial were held in Memphis, Tenn. Our sypmpathy and condolences go to Mrs. Matson. We fake it too much for granted and probably don't realize just how important electricity is to our daily living. I hope there isn't a strong wind coming up before the good old Mr. Sun melts some of- ice off of the lines. The only consolation I can see is that when the sun does try to peek out, the ice covered trees, bushes and even weeds do look pretty. BIRD RESEARCH GRANT Official confirmation of a research grant of $21,000 from the National Science Foundation to be used for studies of nocturnal migration of birds has been received by Dr. Harlow B- Mills, chief of the Illinois , Natural History Survey. The grant, which became effective Jan. 1, is for one year. Since 1950, a large amount of information on the nocturnal migration of birds has-been gained through such methods of study as lunar and radar observations, massive banding programs and analyses of numbers of birds killed around television towers.
