Boy for the Glickas Elaine and Glenn Glicka became the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy who made his appearance on Sunday, March 21. He will be named Keith Joseph. The baby weighed in at 8 lbs. 8% ozs. and measured 20% inches long. This is the sixth child for Elaine and Glenn, their other children are: Glenn, Jr., Dale, Robbie, Therese and Darleen. Elaine and baby were confined at Mc- Henry hospital until Thursday, March 25, Congratulations to both of you and may there be nothing but health and happiness for the new baby. The greeters for this day were William Barth arid daughter, Kathleen, and the candle lighter was Dennis Sisk. Delores Gregg was the organist and Don Krispin the lay reader. Confirmation classes for girls and boys are held on Saturdays at 10 to 12 noon, at the church. Rev. Althouse instructs these classes. The entire proceeds from the Lenten dime folders will go to the building fund of the church. Bowling News • Marshall Jacobs bowled a 258 game, making him the top man of all the Wednesday night bowlers, ending up with a 635 series. The team is still three games ahead in the league. On April 11 the alley will hold a house tournament at 1 o'clock so plan on going over to see gome fancy bowling and root the boys on. Here 'N There On Sunday the Jacobses will be entertaining Lucille's parents for a birthday party, Lu's mother, Mrs. Minnie Ristow, will be a young 75 on the 6th day of April. On the 4th Mr. Ristow is treating the famiiy to a (Miner at some nice eating place, also being joined by Lola and George Darmody. Happy birthday to Grandma Ristow and have fun. Grandma and Grandpa Hinspater are taking the two boys, David and Danny, on Saturday and Sunday, giving Dale and Judy a free weekend to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. We know Judy and Dale appreciate being able to get away from it all for a few days and not have to worry about the children,, so have a good time. The boys .of the SSAC Club are having an Easter egg hunt at the beach on the 17th of April. All children in the Shores are invited to participate. More on this at a later date. WHAT AM I SAYING! Hank's main purpose was to visit his brother, Art, and wife, Gay, in Miami. They had eight pleasant days in the sunny South. After three days in Miami they flew to and spent one day each in Key West, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, Sanoibel Island and Meyers Bay. Marcella Miller is also spending an enjoyable vacation in Hollywood, Fla., with her sister and family. She writes that she has acquired a nice sun. tan, is feeling fine and got out to the baseball park one d&y to see the White Sox beat the Yanks. Leave it to Marcella to keep up with the teams! At the Palmer House: Margaret Palmer's Aunt, Mary Rosinsky, has spent the past two weeks with the Palmer family. Having retired this year she has been making the rounds of visiting her nieces. First she spent two weeks with Jean Eaton and family, then two with Dorothy Hoyle and family and now Margaret. I am sure they all wished Aunt Mary would stay longer. Major Items: Lorraine and Steve Major were pleasantly surprised recently by a visit from our former neighbors, Bunny and John Mischke. Glad to hear the Mischkes are enjoying their new locale in Mundelein. Steve Major, Sr., saved himself a few weather-headaches by taking one week of his vacation the week of the 15th. You should have taken two more, Steve! He did manage, however, to get over to Fox Lake one afternoon to visit a co-worker, now retired. They returned the visit on Sunday--along with Steve Major, Jr., and family. Saturday,' March 20, the Major family went to Berwyn to visit Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pechan (Janice Major's Godparents) and their son Louis, Jr., who was home on leave from the Navy. The 10th of April will be a big day for Jahice--she will make her confirmation at St. John's. For one reason he is a mighty fine wrestler--and who wants to argue! Anybody for Hockey? An inside game--that is! The boys in the subdivision finally gave up trying to fight the snow for ice hockey--so David Zeiger came up with a National League Hockey Game for inside practice (on the table). All one needs to play the game is a keen mind and two fast hands. I scored nil in both against David -- and his mother! Teacher Material: Jerry Zeiger is right in there pitching in his second semester at Wisconsin State University. His aim is to be a teacher in World Geography and he is now practice teaching every morning at Fort Atkinson high school. The regular teacher acts as a critic and grades Jerry on his teaching ability. When he finishes college and starts on his teaching career his pupils are sure to respect him andjhis knowledge. Why?
