Section Three -- Page Six THE McHENRY PLAINDEALER Thursday. May 20, 1965 HOLIDAY HILLS NEWS k INEZ YOUNG 885-4672 LOCAL WOMEN ENJOY DINNER STAGE PLAY Wednesday evening, May 12, was warm and beautiful and perfect for a night out. The weatherman and husbands cooperating, that's just exactly what a good many women from Holiday Hills did. A delicious meal served amid a luxurious country club atmosphere and a hilarious comedy at the theatre later provided all who attended a one night vacation from routine duties. The annual dinner is primarily to honor the out going officers of the club, however, it serves this purpose as well as getting new neighbors acquainted' and giving regular members an enjoyable evening. This year's honored officers were Gerry Breede, Connie Catanzaro, Charis Ary, Kay Ryan, Gerri Postal and Dorothy Gabriel. Orchids to "Kay Ryan, Charis Ary arici Gerri Postal who made the arrangements for the evening. Too Much Excitement After thoroughly enjoying the evening at the Woman's Club dinner, the activities and excitement proved to be too much for Mrs. Linnea Carlstrom, mother of Dorothy Anderson of Hickory Road. On her way out of the theatre, she collapsed arid a registered nurse on the scene recommended a trip to the hospital to have her doctor check on her condition. Earline Mettelka and Abbie Emerson accompanied them' to McHenry hospital where the doctor sent her home to rest. Besides the bump on her head she ached all over for several days. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery. RINGWOOD NEWS DELORES BRENNAN 653-9045 POST SIGNS FOR PARALLEL PARKING IN BUSINESS AREA OOPS--IS MY FACE RED!! If I would try parking in Ringwood as I stated in last week's column I sure would be the first to get a ticket! With no explainable excuse, I misquoted. What I meant to say was this: After the signs have been posted, you will park parallel on the RIGHT side of the streets. This will be enforced, so to avoid getting a ticket, in the near future, park correctly. Watch those new parking signs, and do as they say. Commencement Exercises On Monday, May 31, the Ringwood grade school will hold its commencement exercises. Watch next week's column for the details. Surprise For Teacher Last Wednesday at 1 p.m. Bobbie Fossum and Lor Brennan (both being room mothers) went into Mrs. Luana Lumber's room to have a birthday treat in honor of Pat Brennan's eleventh birthday.
