AND MRS. <«EOK<»E LOSER In a beautiful wedding solemnized in St. Mary's Catholic church, Miss Lorraine Marie Steadman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Steadman of 322 S. Sheridan Road, Mc- Henry, became the bride of Mr. and Mrs. George N. Loser, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Loser of 2522 W. Clara, Mc- Henry. The 1 o'clock double ring nuptial ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. Eugene Baumhofer, with the children's choir offering appropriate music. The altar of the church and pews were decorated with white gladioli and carnations. Given in marriage by her father, the radiant bride walked down the aisle wearing a satin, empire fashion chapel sweep gown, styled with sculptured neckline, fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. Alencon lace and pearls adorned the neckline, the front of her slim sheath skirt and her detachable, chapel length train. A silk illusion, two-tiered bouf fant veil fell from a two-tiered wedding cake crown, highlighted with alencon lace, pearls and aurora boreal is crystals. Miss Steadman carried a cascade of carnations and roses. Chris Hose of Mclienry acted as her maid of honor and bridesmaids were Candy Morganson, Georgia -Blake, Sue Steadman. the bride's sister. and Mrs. Kathy Heber, sister of the groom. All were attired in aqua rayon, empire fashion, floor length gowns with fitted bodices featuring tiny pink roses. Their headpieces were large roses with aqua netting. Miss Hose carried a bouquet of. pink-tipped carnations and the other attendants had aquatipped flowers. Each wore a necklace given to her by the bride. Richard Radner of McHenry served as best man and groomsmen were Robert Smith and Charles Dixoji of McHenry, Allan Paulsen of Dundee and Roy Allsup of Waukegan. Jack Smith of Johnsburg was usher. Mrs. Steadman was attired in a two-piece, pink metallic dress, while accessories and a white rose corsage. The gioom's mother wore a twopiece blue metallic dress, white accessories and a similar corsage. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Foss to 100 guests following the ceremony. Later. 300 gathered at the V.F.W. clubhouse in McHenry for a reception. The couple will make their home in McHenry. Both young people are graduates of McHenry high school. MARTIN KILT St. Mary's Catholic church was the scene of a lovely summer wedding Saturday, July 31, when Miss Cynthia Freund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Freund, became the bride of Mr. Martin Kult, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kult of Milwaukee, Wis. Rev. Eugene C. Baumhofer officiated, at the 11:30 o'clock nuptial rite, for which the children's choir sang. The altar was decorated with bouquets of white gladioli and stock. Gladioli and stock also were placed at the pews. Given in marriage by her father, pretty Miss Freund approached the altar wearing a gown of ivory bouquet taffeta fashioned in empire lines. The fitted bodice, sculptured neckline and short sleeves were adorned with embroidered alencon lace and seed pearls which were repeated oneaeh side of the slim skirt. A chapel sweep train was trimmed at the back with three flat bows. The bouffant veil of pure silk illusion was attached to a small circle of ivory antiqued orange blossoms. Miss Freund carried a bouquet of three white orchids and stephanot is. Attending the bride were Jean Hanrahan of Sussex, Wis., as maid of honor, and Holly Haag of St. Paul, Minn., Marilyn Yancik of Cleveland, Ohio, all former classmates of the bride at Marquette University, and Mrs. Alan Freund of McHenry, the latter a sister- in-law of the bride, as bridesmaids. All were attired in floor length gowns of avoeada green linen. The bodices had bateau necklines and short sleeves and the empire waistlines were accented with moss green velvet. All wore matching linen bows in their hair and carried two white fu. j i mums with camellia foliage and moss green velvet ribbon. Robert Kult of Milwaukee seived as his brother's best man and groomsmen were Thomas Salentine of Milwaukee, Ray Rauseh of Miami, Fla., and Steve Kult of Milwaukee. Alan Freund, brother of the bride, and Albert Kult brother of the groom, served as ushers. Mrs. Freund selected for her daughter's wedding an ensemble of pale pink, with matching accessories, while Mrs. Kult was attired in a beige sheath dress with matching accessories. A reception for L'OO guests followed the ceremony at the McHenry Country Club. Later the newlyweds left by plane for a two-week honeymoon to the Bahamas. Upon their return they will make their home at S936 W. Lynx, Milwaukee, Wis. The bride is a 1950 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy of Lisle, 111., and a 1963 graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. The bridegroom is a 1957 graduate of Marquette University high school and a 1961 graduate of Marquette university with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. Miss Kafhryn Lynn Riha became the bride of Mr. Dominick Angelo Scolaro in a lovely wedding at the McHenry Community Methodist church, Saturday, July 31, at 4 p.m., with Rev. Ernest Carder officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Riha of 1504 River Terrace Drive, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William DeVries of 3402 West Third Avenue, McHenry. The pretty bride wore a ehantilly lace gown with a bolero top, elbow length sleeves, a three tiered straight skirt and a five tiered train, and a chapel length chantilly lace mantilla. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and stephanotis and wore a strand of opera length pearls with matching earrings, a gift from the groom. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Lynne Backc of Chic a g o. Bridesmaids were Sherry Ferrick of Chicago, the bride's e on s i n, and Jeanne DeVries, sister of groom. D o n n a C a m p i s e o f M o r t o n Grove was the flower girl. The attendants wore full length empire waist gowns with heavy lace over satin bodices and sheer crepe skirts. Their headpieces were large petunialike artificial flowers were tulle veiling and they carried cascade bouquets of white gladioli tipped with blue. The ma^l oi honor was in all white and the bridesmaids and flower girl had blue satin under white lace in the bodice of the gowns and blue headpieces to match. The flower girl scattered rose petals from a basket she carried. Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Ignatius Anthony Scolaro of McHenry. John Baumgartner and Edward Schwabauer of McHenry were ushers. The McHenry County Association for Retarded Children is holding the sale at Engdahl's barn at 508 N. Green Street. McHenry, to aid in the operation of the training center and workshop located at Wonder Lake.
