She was Miss Harriet I. Daschka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Victor Daschka of 247 Maple Avenue, Chester. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford F. Kiehl of 3813 Oak Avenue, McHenry. Dr. Frank McLaughen officiated St the 6 o'clock evening service. Bob Dahl of Macomb was soloist, singing "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer." Two baskets of glads and pom pons decorated the center and both sides of the altar. Pretty Miss Daschka selected for her wedding a gown that featured a sabrina neckline, elbow length sleeves and appliques of. 1 a c e trimming the bodice and appearing again in a row around the bottom of the dress. I-t.was floor length, with bell shaped skirt highlighting a detachable train edged in the lace appliques. Lace and pearl accents adorned the headpiece made of organza roses and holding the three-tiered illusion veil. A l l w e r e dressed similarly in floor length gowns styled with empire waistlines. The bodices were white chiffon crepe over white taffeta, with blue flowered appliques. The A-line skirts were in pale blue chiffon crepe over blue taffeta. Their headpieces were of fresh flowers in blue and white, matching their bouquets. Small Michelle Daschka, the i bride's niece, was the pretty flower girl and was dressed for the role similarly to the adult attendants. John C. Miller of McHenry served as best man and Tom Mueller of Lombard, Don Schoenbeck of Chicago, Mike W e l g e o f C h e s t e r a n d G a r y Adams of McHenry were groomsmen. Ushers were Don Daschka, brother of the bride, of Chester, Ron Stump of Colona, and Terry Ernst of Mount Prosepect. Mrs. Daschka chose a jacket dress of deep rose color, with rose and white accessories. Mrs. Kiehl wore a pale pink lace suit with matching accessories. A dinner dance followed the wedding for 250 guests in the V.F.W. clubhouse in Chester, after which the young couple left on a trip to Wisconsin. They will make their home at 1626 N. Prospect avenue, Apt. 1508, Milwaukee, Wis. Both young people are graduates of the University of Illinois, Mrs. Kiehl with a B.S. degree in retailing and Mr. Kiehl with a B.S. in industrial education. He also received his Master's degree in administration. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta national sorority and her husband belonged to Beta Sigma Psi, national Lutheran fraternity. Mr. Kiehl is a salesman for Humble Oil Co. Attending the wedding from McHenry were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Corso, Bill Kinsala, Richard Smith, Jr., Miss Carole Jean Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Thennes and Mrs. Marie Kiehl. ART FAIR A number of McHenry area residents will be among exhibitors at the second aanual art fair to be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 21 and 22, from noon to 9 p.m. in the Delos F. Kult following their wedding July 31 at St. Mary's Catholic church. The bride is the former Cindy Freund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Freund of McHenry. The newlyweds, will make their home in Milwaukee. USE THE CLASSIFIEDS YOUNG DEMOCRATS PLAN FOR FUND RAISING DINNER The meeting of the Young Democrats of McHenry County was called to order by President Russ O'Hara last week Wednesday in Crystal Lake. Discussion centered on the fund-raising dinner to be held in October. Committees were formed to make arrangements and contact a guest speaker. More details on this will be presented at" the next nfeeting. Plans were made to enter & float in the Labor Day parade in Crystal aLke. The float will be assembled at the home of Don Quist in McHenry and all members were urged to help. YD P r e s i d e n t a n d M r s . O ' H a r a a t t e n d e d " a B o o n e county YD meeting in Belvidere Tuesday evening. Plans were made for a YD workshop to be sponsored by the 12th and 16th Congressional districts in October. James Doran Will Wed Oregon Girl Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Boucher of 8519 N. Buchanan, Portland, Oregon, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lynn Rae, to James William Doran of 3803 Kane Avenue, McHenry. Miss Doucher is a 1963 graduate of Roosevelt high school in Portland and is presently employed toy a large company in San Francisco, Calif. Mr. Doran, son of Mrs. John L. Boehm of McHenry and the late Robert Doran, attended McHenry high school and at present is a third class petty officer in the Navy. He is currently preparing to embark on a ten-month cruise to the western Pacific. No date has been set for the wedding. ' FIRST ON CRASH SCENE The J. P. Ambulance Service of Wender Lake was the first to reach Highland Park heach, Chicago, following last' Monday night's jet crash. Checking a television report of a possible crash, the service was informed of the point where radar last picked up signals.
