Old friends here will be interested to know that the Willises are still in the teaching profession, he as a teacher in the Junior College in Emmettsburg and she in Cylinder. Iowa, while the daughter will be on the faculty at Gages Lake, this year, and her husband is a pharmacist in North Chicago. Miss Villa Smith, who has been vacationing with Elgin relatives, spent the past week in the Robert Thompson home, before returning to her teaching duties in Cleveland, Ohio. Father James Weber of St. Theresa's parish, Aurora, spent a recent vacation with his mother, Mrs. Henry Weber. While here they enjoyed trips to Holy Hill and the Dells of Wisconsin. The Wilfred Blnke family have disposed of their home in Cooney Heights, and are now residing in the Fleming place on Washington street. Mrs. Carl Swanson, Mrs. Robert Thompson and Mrs.' George H, Johnson were among the local folks who attended the card party sponsored by the Kishwaukee Trail Chapter of the D.A.R, held at the home qf Mrs. Charles Wright, near Woodstock, last Thursday. Mrs. Rita Ulrieh and daughter Gretchen, have returned from a California vacation. They were guests in the home of her daughter, Virginia Lange, in Pacifica. Several days were spent visiting old friends and neighbors in San Carlos. Mr. and Mrs. William Mahoney, Jr., of Chicago called on relatives here Sunday. Edwin Sherman and son, Gregory, of Denver. Kris and John enjoyed a few days sight-seeing in Springfield last week. The Peter Weingart family of Arlington Heights visited McHenry relatives Sunday. Their daughters, Lori and Jayne, remained for a longer visit with their grandparents, the William F. Dohertys and Peter Weingarts. Roger Thompson and friend have returned from a motor trip to Phoenix, Ariz., where they visited his aunt, Mrs. Wilbur Cain, and family.'
