REPAIRS MADE TO SECTION OF EAST WONDER LAKE ROAD D u r i n g my travels to and frorii work the past few weeks 1 noticed work is being done to repair the section of East Wonder Lake Road from the main intersection to Oakwood Shores. Perhaps now would be a good tijrie for me to ask a question and see . if any of you can suggest an answer. I know I am not the'only one who has a problem with this road in the winter. I've h$$fr d the natives grumbling about it for years but it seems there is no solution -- or is there?? The bone of contention is ^the-incline where the blacktop gdes into route 120. How many tiroes have you tried to slow down1 on a slippery winter morning and ended up half way across the highway before you dJteflcTcome ot a stop. It's like pEyiiJg Russian roulette. Especially inasmuch as you can't s£e if any cars are coming fiwm the East -- because of the hffl -- until you get out onto the highway. •The exact reverse happens at night Ion the way home. You stow down to make the turn on to the blacktop from the highway and nine times out of ten you can't make the hill. My question is -- can anything be done about this corner? 8 Hospitalised We are sorry to learn' that Fred Kusch of 4419 E. Wonder Lake Road is seriously ill at the McHenry hospital.
