Don't disappoint us, let's see a lot , of new faces as well as o!:' timers. You'll enjoy it oner you come out to the meeting for they always try to mix business with some pleasure. Thursday Oct. 7 - 8:30 p.m. Lakeland Park Woman's Club. Monday. Oct. 11, - Girl Scouts, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Boy Scouts The Lakeland Park Property owners association is in the process of getting a Boy Scout committee together and would be happy to have the names of any men who would like to work on this committee or for the Boy Scouts in any way. Here's your chance to work with some boys and give them the wonderful experience of scouting. Even if you have never done this before, there are training classes for leaders and associates. Let's not let our boys down. Give Ron Braun a call if you arc interested at 385-5547. Brownies Fran Quast had a get-acuainted meeting with the mothers of her Brownies at her home last Tuesday evening. An outline of the program for the year was given by her with a few suggestions as to outings being brought up by the mothers. Two mothers offered to be on the telephone committee and Charlene Meuller and Barbara Muerer will be committee mothers to act as hostesses for the mothers' t;ea. Dee Barwig and Marge Weber will also be on the committee. At their first meeting this W£ek, the girls were given permission slips to be filled out (md signed by both parents, and are to have them returned by next week with their dollar for registration. Dues will be the same as last year. Girl Scouts • At the first meeting of the year, we picked our officers and patrol leaders. Our scribe is Nancy Matthews, our treasurer is Cathy Huemann and the patrol leaders are Debra Foszcz, Karerj Foszcz and Carol Funk. In the patrol a "SpoonfiU^-YU Sugar" the girls names are Karen Foszez, Veronica Bierman, Terry Funk. Debra Shabow, Nancy Matthews and Cathy Huemann. In the patrol "Explorers" the girls names are Karen Slonina, Roberta Quast. Debra George, Debra Holas, Denise Bucaro, Donna Huemann, and Debra Foszcz. On the patrol the "Green Fairies", the girls names are Carol Funk, Darlene Gladman, Joanne Gladman, Darlene Williams, Debbie Franklin and Doris Dowell. In the patrol. "Spoonful of Sugar" and the "Green Fairies" the girls were studying laws, in the patrol "Exploier" the girls were studying the patrol system. Almost at the end of the meeting, the girls sang songs and Mrs. George, our new leader, passed out some slips for our parents. The grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. John Gray of McHenry. Birthday Wishes Our very best birthday wishes go to Virginia Hodges who celebrates today. Thursday. Oct. 7, and to Michele Koch who became 6 today. Gene Mullen and Dorothy Morgen son share the 8th with Pam Krasueki who becomes 7 on that day. On the 9th, Susie Wickenkamp will be 6. Debbie McCarthy becomes 12 and Janet Weber will be 1, John Johnson shares the 10th with Lee Hulbert who will be 9, Richard Wimmer, Jr., who will be 3 and Michael Jensen who will be 13. On the 12th, Doug Belaholvy will be 14, Cathy Droesser will be 17 and Jan Kozy just adds another year. Anniversary Wishes Happy Anniversary to Adell and Bob Kroening who will celebrate their 15th year together on the 7th of October as will Lil and Chuck Benes. Dolores and Jerry Rogers will celebrate their 15th anniversary on the 8th of October sharing the day with Joan and Sam Bucaro who will be celebrating their 22nd. Cub Scout Puck Meeting The Cub Scout pack meeting will be held on the 4th Monday this month instead of the 3rd Monday, so their Halloween party will l)e closer to Halloween. The boys are to come in costume and there will be prizes for the funniest, most original, etc. Don't forget, the date has been changed from the 18th to the 25th. SP 5 Ben Tibbs left for Viet Nam last week after a short vis t home. He had been stationed at Fort Riley, Kas. I'm sure Debbie, Julie and Nancy will miss their Daddy, and be praying for his safe return.
