PUBLIC AID IN COUNTY LISTED FOR ONE MONTH In July there were reductions in the Aid to Dependent Children and Blind Assistance rolls and an increase in the number of persons receiving General Assistance, Old Age Assistance and Disability Assistance. Harold O. Swank, director of the Illinois Department of Public Aid, said an over-all increase of 616 recipients brought the total caseload to 413,850 in July, compared to 413,234 in June. The caseload in July, 1964, was 418,763. Public Aid expenditures in July totaled $25,142,252, compared to expenditures of $24,- 716,202 in June, 1965. Most of the increase in expenditures was in the Assistance to the Medically Indigent Aged program which amounted to $828,859 in July compared to $532,425 in June. Expenditures for all programs in July 1964 were $23,719,625. These total expenditures include payment for burials, foster care for ADC children removed from unsuitable homes and care for the medically indigent in Cook county. The caseload for McHenry county was as follows: Total, all programs, 625; $35,480; old age assistance, 165, $13,- 737; aid to dependent children; 214, $8,604; blind assistance, 2, $99; disability assistance, 31, $1,855; general assistance, 204, $5,565.
