It will bo held at Justen's furniture store on Green street. The hours Friday, Nov. 12, are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. til! 5 p.rn. The women of the auxiliary have made many loveiy items for the bazaar, all handmade. Auxiliary News The Woman's auxiliary held its" monthly' meeting Monday, Nov. 1. The final touches were discussed on the Christmas bazaar and i white elephant sale. Also diseased and decided was a Christma^ pot-luck * dinner and grab bag)for the December meeting. After the business on hand was taken care of the new officers ai#l board of directors were installed. Diane Fuhler who was installing chairman installed the following women, Jo Bartelt, president, Lil Wijas, vice-president, Lill Neumann, treasurer, Connie Johnson, secretary. The board of directors installed were Lee Bassi, Mrrilyn Lo- Presti, Pearle Stineman and Eunice Tobey. The nasi presidents who are Pearle Stineman, Connie Johnson and Shirley Schuerr were surprised when they were presented plaques for being past presidents. Guest for the installation was Lawrence Schuerr. The monthly prize was won by Lill Neumann. Hostesses for the November meeting were Ida Legs'e, Connie Johnson and A l m a H u e c k s t a e d t . P e a r l e Stineman and Lill Neumann made the finger sandwiches for the women. There will be no hostesses for the December party. For this the auxiliary will get together at llii.'tt) p.m. in the dining room of Club Lilymoor. After the dinner there wil be a short meeting. Village News As of Wednesday, Dec. 1, residents of Lakemoor can purchase 1heir 1966 vehicle stickers and dog licenses. You must show your current rabies certificate in order to purchase your dog license. Those who wish to purchase the same number on their vehicle sticker please conlact the village clerk Pat Morrison al ,">K5-f)396 and she will reserve that number for you. The monthly village meeting will be held this evening at 8 p.m. at the fire-community building. Please try to attend the meetings. Ladies League Held its monthly meeting Wednesday, Nov. 3. After the business on hand was taken care of bunco was played. Winners were Ida Hirsch, Viola Arbogast, and Barb. Para. Boo -by went to Florence Mix. At this time the Ladies League welcomes their new member, Ida Hirsch. In Service Ronnie Fuhler has put away his civp-ian clothes for awhile to wear the army uniform for Uncle Sam. Ronnie is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., for his basic training. Mail Boxes I have had several calls on person or persons go^ng into mail boxes which are not theirs here in Lilymoor. Mail has been missing and some of the mail has been torn up and dropped in front of the mail boxes. If you check [with the post office you will Tind that going into someone's , mail box which is not your own is a federal offense. If you do not want the federal government after you stay out of other people's mail boxes. Wedding Bells Rang out Saturday, Nov. 6, for Lawrence Blake of Lily Lake Road and Miss Pat Gabel of McHenry at St. John's church. Attending the bride were Mrs. Wilfred Blake, Jr., and Linda Blake. I (Vomer Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. Patrick's church in McHenry. Demonstration A demonstration was held at the home of Fre'da Glick Wednesday, Nov. 3. Coffee and cake were served to the ladies who at tended. Improving I am happy to report that Gene Rodde has improved some Mnr-e his operation. Gene is in the hospital at Woodstock and I know it would help him to receive cards from his - many friends. Get-Well Wishes go to Lee Bassi. Lee has been down with a very bad cold for the past couple of weeks. Get-well wishes also go to Roxanne and Lee Ann Meyer who are having their bouts with colds. First Communion 'Sunday, Oct. 31, was a very big day in the lives of Debra Bel!;no, Paul. Cynowa, James Johnson and James Zahn. Otto Kerner reported last week. This study, conducted*^ the Illinois Department of Business and Economic Development, revealed that on selected products of primary importance to Illinois industries, soybeans is the number one export item for Illinois to the Far East. Approximately $265 million, or 43 per cent of Illinois' total soybean prgduction was exported fo the Far East. Wheat and its flour equivalents accounted for $213 million. Next most important Illinois exports are petroleum products amounting to $123 million; agricultural machinery, $79 million, and power machinery, $69 million. Education is not complete if all that the student gets is a trained mind. Local People Attend Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Prokop attended a wedding of a dear friend in Lyons, at a huge hall where 400 people gathered for the occasion. They had the opportunity to see many of their old friends and neighbors. The meal was served by caterers and the Mrs. says it was the best food she's had for a long time. The orchestra was swinging away with all their favorite wedding tunes till wee' hours of the morning. Their aching backs and tired feet convinced- them it was about that time--"to call it a day"- ;o they spent the night with their daughter and then back to Sunnyside with their grandson for a visit as he wanted to get away from .the city for :i spell. Our Service Men A/2C Robert W. Kerr, son of John and Hildegarde Kerr, 1401. W. Channel Beach, joined the Air Foice on Aug> 1, '63. After six weeks basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Robert then -went to Illinois to study and train at C'nanute Air Force Base in the "Hound Dog" missile. Up- <">n graduation he was sent to Rapid City, S.D., for further training. Wh'le in Rapid City he mel Miss Kay England and married the young lady on Feb. 6, '65 Shortly after the wedding Robert was transferred to Fairfield Calif. The couple made a trip back to McHenry before settling down in California. To ward the latter part Of November Bob will be back at Chanute for eleven weeks of training. It will be niee to have him dose to home again. Goblins Our village youngsters had a glorious time Halloween eve with their disguising costumes and masks--and that little old approach of trick or treat. Sick One Mrs. Camerotta was taken ill last week and rushed to her doctor in Chicago. The report was a slight stroke and with some medication and rest she News Briefs Mr. and Mrs. Pflug and their friends celebrated their wedding anniversary last week. They had a snazzy time taking in the night spots and indulging in a good meal. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kennebeck helped celebrate the First Communion of Bernard": Godson, David Kennebeck, of McHenry. Ed Lehman and family attended a party given in honor f !;'s father's birthday. It isn't customary to mention correct arres but I'm sure he won't rr.'rd. TTe was 69 last week. Ed Schneider has been recuperating from his back surety for- several months but there comes a time when you feel like you've had it so. he decided -to go back to work last week. Mrs. Art Kunkle was smitten with the old-cold bug and for :i few days she couldn't talk over a whisper. Her good neighbors wish her a quick uecovery. Ed Schulze is somewhat better but still sees his doctor weekly. He is not able to go back to work yet due to the recent heart attack he suffered last month. Our vll age meeting had a very good turn out last week and we are hoping it continues. The snow removal discussion was the main topic. Altho there were no definite plans the board decided to hold a special meeting pertaining to cost and also performance. ' Convalescing 1 Mrs. Tony Kosior wjjo lives on Wilmot road has Wien in a Chicago hospital for a couple of weeks convalescing from heart surgery. She hopes the doctor will gve her permission to come home in the neas future. Whispering Hills News Old Timers Joe and Mable Gregg who live on Johns burg drive are one of. the first couples to move into h's community and they seem o he very happy with this heavenly spot. ' Joe has had asthma for many years but he says he feels a little better after' undergoing surgery. His life long friend with whom he grew .up in Ireland and now living in Chciago was out to cheer him up and also to help celebrate his seventy- fourth birthday which was Oct. 28. Surgery B'.ll Felsch of Jeffrey Lane has returned home from the McHenry hospital after having surgery. Meeting Don't forget to attend the monthly meeting at the community center Nov. 16 which figures about the third week in •rich month. The ladies reserve the community center twice a month for their special card games and coffee ciutch -- now these •ue held on the second and fourth week of each month. N. Y. Visitor Mrs. Reed of Jeffrey street entertained her sister from New York at the center. Also at the ceriter last week was a demonstration which was reported to have a very good attendance from the Whisper- Ites. Surprise Mr. and Mrs. Clem Weber had a perky get-together (that is what they called it) but after all the invited friends arrived it was announced that they were all attending a silver wedding anniversary celebration.
