Thursday. November 18, 1965 THE McHENRt PLAINDEALER yy.l WONDER LAKE SUBDIVISIONS NAME DELEGATES TO ATTEND MASTER PROPERTY OWNER GROUP Eleven subdivisions have designated delegates to the Wonder Lake Master Property Owners association. A. J. Robertson, chairman of th» executive committee, urged the remaining subdivisions take similar action so that all will be, represented officially in the Master association when delegates are seated as directors at the first organization meeting of directors on Dec,, 12. The executive committee meets every other Friday. Starting With/ the next meeting Nov. 26. the committee and delegate-directors will convene at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of firehouse No. 1. . At the meeting last Friday night, fifteen delegate-directors or observers and members of the committee were presnt to discuss organizational affairs of the Master association. Temporary by - laws enable the ^Master Association to functioft--until permanent bylaws are adopted for the notfor- profit corporation. The executive committee said that any person or subdivision wishing to make suggestions relative to by-laws or formation of the organization is invited to submit their thoughts in writing and signed to the committee members or to any subdivision delegate-director. Two temporary committees have bee"*) named t>y Robertson, with concurrence of the executive committee. Horace R. Wagner was named chairman of the public relations committee. Committee members are Raymond McCann, White Oaks Bay, and James L. Bixby, Hickory Falls No. 1 and 2, both elected by their respective subdivision boards as temporary delegates. This committee will have the responsibility of reporting actions of the Master association to the community. Robertson appointed Larry Fuhrer as chairman of a property- records committee, with McCann to serve on this committee assisted by Wagner, who has access to the necessary official records and documents. This committee is checking new official plats of subdivisions, and reporting to subdivision secretaries the number of lots recorded in each subdivision. Purpose of the lot count is to determine the number of votes to be represented by each director of the Master association. Each subdivision is entitled to one vote per 100 lots or major fraction thereof. For instance, a subdivision having 151 lots would cast two votes; a subdivision with 149 lots, one vote. An amendment to the temporary by-laws was unanimously voted by the executive committee at its Oct. 29 meeting, to provide that delegates appointed by subdivisions will be immediately seated as directors when the organization meeting is called to order Dec. 12. Then, as originally provided in the temporary by-laws, directors will elect the officers of the Master association. Plans also are being made to rotate membership on the executive committee by voting action of the directors. Exhaustive engineering studies of the dam and earthen dike are under way by an engineering firm hired by the executive committee and financed by the Wonder Lake Syndicate, principal owner of the lake. This firm will make recommendations for any maintenance or repairs it deems necessary to place the dam in first-class condition. When all details . are completed, ownership of the lake and dam will transfer from the Syndicate to the Master association. Property owners will have representation in the Master association through their respective subdivision delegatedirector.
