Thursday, November 18,1965 THE McHKNRY FIAINPEALER Section Three -- Pagt On# SUNNYSIDE VILLAGE RUBY CROWLEY PHONE 385-2662 NEIGHBOR WILL GET SPECIAL CARE DURING ILLNESS Our dear neighbor, Mrs. Comarotta, has been taken to the Convalescent home in Woodstock for an indefinite stay. She had a stroke a couple weeks ago and her son, Larry rushed her to the doctor in Chicago for treatment but her condition didn't improve. Finally the family decided she would be better off at the home where she will have special care. We Sunnysiders are hoping that she returns home soon. to the Williams family. A Belated Message to the Villagers Sunnyside reminds me of a lull after ai storm. Obviously everyone is happy about the results of the last meeting. No changes to be made at this time so now we can settle down and be content with the things the way they are and have been for many years. We were all convinced that the village folks would come up with the right answer. Now we can take our hats off to the people that are responsible for this very important decision. Protection Pray tell me -- what would we do without police protection?? I ask you. It gives us a secure feeling to know the oficers will be around soon to check on us. I agree with Mrs. Shuck -- she told the villagers at the meeting about the way she sits in a house at the end of a dead-end street like a frog on a toadstool-- American ^ Legion You paper savers please take your bundles over to Fox Lake American Legion as they are having a drive Nov. 20. In case you need help call Richard Frederick, Jr. 385-5202 or 2008. Chris William's Father passed away last week which was a big shock to the family. Paid Visit To Mother Bill Dunn and his daughter, Ann, returned home from an enjoyable trip back home in Tennessee where he spent some time with his aged mother. Mrs. Dunn was unable to accompany him as she was laid up with a bad cold. Dogs 1 have received several calls about how the stray and also local dogs are taking advantage of their freedom. There are many people in the village who keep their pets confined close to home and one would never suspect they had any. It does become annoying to have foreign droppings in our yards. I was told this will be taken up at the next meeting. There are several other problems we must work out. Anniversary ' The Prokops returned home after spending a week in California celebrating their fortieth anniversary. They enjoyed the planned sight seeing train tour which took them to many beautiful sections of the state and also they said the food was the best ever. Wedding Clara Harrington attended a wedding in Palatine. The marriage was performed in St. Theresa church and the reception was held in a hall at Wheeling. A family style dinner was served to all the wedding guests. Sick List Mrs. Perrewe has been smitten with that old flu bug and has been confined to the house several days. Mrs. Wentzel was a patient at McHenry hospital for a while but I am glad to report she is back home and doing fine. Garbage Sunnyside needs a lot of improvements -- such as the ie/abQUt the garbage cans. Visitors -aueK~ village folks would agree that garbage cans as a decoration are not the prettiest thing to cast ou\ eyes upon. Let's do something about returning them back tc their hiding places after they are emptied. Come Forward Some of you men who could spare a little time to help out the village. The Chief of Police George Siebert would like for you to call him at the earliest convenience. After a discussion with him I'm sure you will agree to don that uniform.
