Visitors The Gaylord family spent the weekend in Milwaukee with the Mrs. mother and sisters and while they were there they managed to do most of their Christmas shopping before the bitter cold weather sets in. Sigma Pi Irma's boyt Charley, spent Thanksgiving week with Mopi, sister, Dorothy, and uncle, Otto. They had a glorious time talkbig about college and eating. He had the good news about bis pledge in the Sigma Pi. The Village treasurer Mrs. Harrington and her husand enjoyed their holiday at eir son Bill's home in Chigo. Wouldn't you know that the old bird was on the menu Jirith all its accomplices. Surprise Visitor Mr. and Mrs. Rowlands and family spent last Sunday with the Mrs. Mother and her inlaws in Chicago. They also had a surprise guest who is Mrs. Rowland's sister from Covenant College at Look Out Mountain and her fiance from St. Louis. Reunion The Ed. Lehman family joined the rest of their family at Betty's sister's in Hoffman's Estate to celebrate a family Thanksgiving reunion which consisted of thirty-five people. When a family of that size gets together you can be sure there Was a good time had by all. .After dinner they played games and enjoyed the togetherness that is usually the case with a family like the Lehmans. Our Dear Neighbor Mrs. Valaski (a widow) returned home after spending three weeks in Chicago with her devoted sons, George arid Ray. She enjoyed her visit very much and will be going back for the Christmas holidays. Horsing Around No Good The George Scheafers spent Thanksgiving at his son's home in Frankford, 111. While on their visit his son decided to teach his daughter's horse some tricks but it turned out that the horse taught him the tricks by kicking him in the mouth which resulted in a few stitches. It just goes to show youyou can't horse around without complications. Improving Mrs. Cammarata returned home from a Chicago hospital after a long illness. Traveling With The Postals Once again Harry Postal was assigned to a most interesting, and in the eyes of others, a most glamorous job. He was in Biloxi, Miss., filming a movie entitled 'This Property is Condemned' starring Natalie Wood and Robert Redford. When the job was finished, his wife, Gerri, drove down to Memphis, Tenn., and Harry flew up from Biloxi to meet her. From here they started a fabulous vacation, beginning with the French Quarter in New Orleans, going down the Gulf coast to Dauphine Island off of Alabama and visiting Fort Gaines--then on to New Port Ritchie to visit former neighbors of Holiday Hills, the Plencners. St. Petersburg and Wickie Watchie were next and then across the state to Pompano Beach where they spent two days on the water-- one on the intercoastal waterway and the next, deep sea fishing as guests of more former neighbors of Holiday Hills, Ruth and Rudy Pekral. Harry caught a dolphin and one of the Pekrals caught a barracuda. A leisurely trip back brought them home relaxed and rested from a thoroughly enjoyable and long overdue vacation. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? GET-WELL A get-well bouquet to Hal Breede who is at home now and coming along just fine, also to Frank Konecny resting at home. Her brother was rushed to the hospital but every thing turned out for the best so he was able to return home. A Night Of Terror During the night the rescue squad received an urgent call to come to the home of Roy Burmeister. He was watching T.V. and all of a sudden he blacked out, but recovered after assistance by the rescue squad. There have been reports that mail is missing from the boxes and a lot of opened mail was found in one of the empty lots.
