Mclntyre, piaster of Faith Presbyterian church, McHenry, will be guest speaker at Saint Paul's Episcopal church, south Green street, Thursday, March 3, at 8 p.m. The subject of his address will be "Why I Am A Presbyterian". John O. Mclntyre was born and raised in Kansas. After serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II, he attended and received a B.S. degree from Kansas State college. After several years as a chemist and a pharmaceutical salesman Jie decided to enter the ministry and received his theoldgical education at the P r e s b y t e r i a n s e m i n a r y i n Louisville, Ky. Ordained in 1955, his first pastorate was at the First and Union Presbyterian churches at Grayville, 111. In 1958 he came to McHenry as a National Missions organizing pastor and in 1959 organized Fatih Presbyterian church, located at Lincoln and Chapel Hill roads. This is the first in a series of four Thursday nights in March designed for better understanding among churches. Catholic, Methodist and Episcopal clergy will be guest speakers in this series. The public is cordially invited to these meetings. Coffee will be served afterward. R. H. FUHLER WINS NEW POST WITH COLLEGE Richard H. Fuhler has been appointed dean of community services and also chairman of the division of business at Atlantic Community college, Atlantic county, N. J. In recent years, Mr. Fuhler has taught accounting at Northern Illinois university, at Adirondack community college, Hudson Falls, N. Y., and Illinois State university at Normal, 111. The former local man has worked in industry, at accounting and auditing. . The new Atlantic college which he joins, will open its doors for the first time next September. Dr. Walton Brown, college president, said that Mr. Fuhler's experience as a member of three college faculties will prove of great value in his role as dean of the division of business. Fuhler is married to the farmer Patricia Maher of Lakemoor, whose mother is Helen Maher. His mother is Kathryn Fuhler of Lilymoor. The Fuhlers have five children. FRANK SCHAFERS HOME FOLLOWING FLORIDA VISIT The Frank Schafers have just returned from a. five-week trip to Florida, where they visited their son, Richard, at Jacksonville, stationed aboard the Aircraft Carrier F. D. Roosevelt. The carrier later left on a cruise to Puerto Rico. Accompanied by their daughter- in-law, the Schafers continued on to visit a retired Navy officer at Fort Lauderdale, then to Miami to see their brotherin- law. Points of interest visited were the Hialeah race track, the Edison home at Ft. Meyers, the Jose Gasparila Parade and the Busch Gardens. Returning to Jacksonville, they welcomed the Carrier Roosevelt and their son back from Puerto Rico and all enjoyed a weekend at Jekyll Island, Ga. After returning to McHenry and following a short rest, the Schafers will leave for Hawaii. His fine was $10 and costs. Michael C. Johnson of 1400 N. Oakwood court, McHenry, pleaded guilty to unnecessary noise and was fined $10 and $5 costs. Kenneth W. Thomas of 818 Grand avenue, Ingleside. paid a $10 fine and $5 costs for unnecessary noise. Timothy H. Meyer of Rt. 1, Richmond, pleaded not guilty but was proved guilty of driving with a noisy and defective exhaust system. His fine was $10 and $5 costs. Also pleading not guilty but found guilty was Richard Heaver of Wauconda, for not having a valid operator's li- J cense. His fine was $30 and $5 costs. Kenneth R. Schult pleaded guilty to deceptive practices in two cases. He was sentenced to thirty days in county jail on each chargc, to run concurrently. Costs were also assessed.
