Caley, Jr., of McHenry exchanged nuptial vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony solemnized at St. John the Baptist church, Johnsburg, Saturday, March 19. They are making their home in Ingleside. Eileen Homo Becomes Bride The Community Methodist church was the setting for a beautiful wedding last Saturday, March 26, at 3 o'clock when Miss Eileen Homo and Mr. James White exchanged nuptial vows. Johnny Stassen of Woodstock, a nephew, was ring bearer. Mrs. Homo chose an aqua sheath with -fitted jacket and accessories to match. Mrs. White wore a pink organdysheath with jacket and matching accessories. A reception for 250 guests followed the wedding at the Legion home. Following a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, the newlyweds will make their home for the present at Fort Knox, Ky., where the groom is in service. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and has been employed as secretary for the Chicago Motor club. The bridegroom is a graduate of Woodstock high school. Wonder Lake, on Saturday, March 26, at 5 o'clock when Miss Jacquelyn Ann Cannon became the bride of Mr. William L. Forbes. Miss Cannon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Cannon, Jr., of 3606 E. Lake Shore drive. Wonder Lake, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Forbes of 16446 S. Halsted, Harvey.^ Rev. Thomas Johnson officiated at the 5 o'clock double ring ceremony, for which Charles Jacobsen was soloist, singing "O Perfect Love". The altar and railings" were b e a u t i f u l l y d e c o r a t e d w i t h white and blue tinted roses and elegance carnations. Pretty Miss Cannon selected a gown of organza and chantilly lace, with a scalloped lace necklipe, long lace sleeves and a fitted bodice. The full, redingote skirt featured a detachable watteau train attached at the middle of the back with two bows. Her matching crown was of chan^^f tilly lace and pearls, holding a three-tiered silk illusion veil. Miss Cannon carried a cascade bouquet of white bridal roses, stephanotis and ivy. Acting as matron of honor was Mrs. Thomas Vallow of Harvey, a friend of the bride. She wore a floor length, light blue, silk chiffon gown with elbow length sleeves, scoop neckline and a train attached to her skirt. Her headpiece was of matching blue in floral shape. Completing her ensemble were white wrist gloves and matching blue shoes. She carried a cascade bouquet of white and blue tinted roses and miniature elegance carnations. Accepted By College Thomas Vallow of Harvey, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were David Urban of Thornton and Norman Williams, Jr., of Woodstock, brother-in-law of the bride. Mrs. Cannon wore a threep\ ece, turquoise silk, shantung suit with matching accessories and a corsage of white roses. Mrs. Forbes was attired in a two-piece, gold crepe dress with lace jacket and matching accessories. She had a similar corsage. A reception for 100 guests followed the ceremony in the church social hall. Later, the couple left on a two-week trip they will reside in Harvey. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and is employed as secretary in the sales department of the Oak Kathleen Pierce Kathleen Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Pierce, 3821 North Pitzen road, McHenry, has been accepted at Byrant and Stratton College, Chicago. She will be attending a tabulating and computer ISM program. Miss Pierce has been very active in high school activities some of which include Mission club, McHenry City Saddle club and Chorus. The sermon theme will be "W h o Was There?" on Maunday Thursday there will be a 7:30 p.m. service of Holy Communion, when the sermon theme will be "The Cup of Hope". Rev. WONDER LAKE GIRL ASSISTS IN FASHION SHOW Miss Sue Ensminger of Wonder Lake is a member of committees for "Boutique Beat", (he sixteenth annual fashion show benefit of the Junior Women's Advertising club of Chicago, to be held on Thursday, March 31, at .5:30 p.m. in the Sheraton-Chicago hotel. Maggie Daly will do the commentary for the showing of spring fashions iq an atmosphere of Op Art. All proceeds will benefit scholarships for women advertising students at universities within Illinois. Tickets will be available at the door. On Thursday night at 7 o'clock we had a Past Queen's and Friends' Night. Girls from other bethels came to take our girls' places. Ruth Lightner was honored queen once again, taking Connie Sallman's place. Ruth is our junior past honored queen. Libby Stinespring took Jo Weichmann's place. The latter is senior princess and Libby is past honored queen. Sandy Fairchild, who also is a past queen, took the place of Junior Princess Cris Fournier. After the meeting the girls went down stairs for cupcakes, soft drinks and different kinds of ice cream. Ruth's honored guest was Mr. Schaedel. He was very surprised and happy because it was the first meeting his wife had attended. The next meeting on April 14 is a very special meeting for us. It's Jo Weichmann's Advance Night. She'll be a queen for a night, and a wonderful queen.
