Church is at 10 a.m. with Church School at 11 a.m. rOn May 2--5 Rev. Anderson attended the Ecumenical Institute in Chicago. The purpose of this is for educational training in how to make church effective in this modern world. The junior choir will pracm at 4- p.m. at the church ; May 8, being Mothers' Day, special services will ' be • held at the 10 a.m. services. of 4-Hers competing for honors. The Ringwood Sun-Shine Girls presented their skit entitled, "Physical Fitness In Action", on Saturday evening, under the direction of their coleaders, Mrs. Karen Jepson and Mrs. Althea Walkington. They were more than happy to have their club announced at the end of the Evening as winners of a Green Ribbon. Congratulations to our local group upon such a showing. Parents from here who attended along with the leaders were Mr. and Mrs. Russ Rassmussen, Art Lau, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Bruce,, Mrs. Charles Ackerman, Mrs. Jerome Tony an and son, Leon, Mrs. Bob Brennan and daughter, Linda, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Christopher and family. Community Club Meeting La&t Monday President Georgia Bauer called; the meeting of the Ringwood Community Club to order with the pledge to the flag, fqljowed by the secretary's and treasurer's reports. New Business. The school trip was not decided, due to the absence of Mr. Roeder. The graduation party will bo held with the seventh grade mothers serving with the assistance of the oficers. A picnic was discussed. Just an old fashioned family style picnic. It was decided to hold one on Sunday, June 5, on the school grounds. More details will appear later on. Mr. Darrell Everett was introduced as our new board member. The meeting was turned over to Doris Low and Phyllis Ackerman, as to the nominations for new officers for the coming, 1966-67 year. Seems as tho nobody wants to serve the school children and community- John Lanway will conduct the first meeting in September with nominations from the floor for other offices. The meeting was closed and all presnt joined in for a funfilled evening of take-away b i n g o . B o y , s o m e o f t h o s a packages were foolers from the outside. Refreshments were served to all. H Attended Weekend Retreat Judy Winston and Sally Dresdow went on a weekend retreat with Rev. and Mrs. Berkich, and visited the Christian Missionary Alliance College at St. Paul, Minn. The girls also learned that many schools of hursing ai*e also connected to the college program. This was of- special interest to J tidy, who upon completion of high school next summer, plans to enter the field of nursing. Judy had a first hand view of nursing duties when she recently was a patient in the hospital after her fall from a rope near her home.
