Mrs. Leon Gonigam, satirist, will entertain members and their guests with "Satire Set to Music." Mrs. Frank J. Gans will be chairman of the day, with Mrs. Donald Gerlitz on hand as luncheon hostess. The seventy-first annual convention of the Illinois Federar tion of Women's Clubs will be held on May 3, 4 and 5 at the official convention headquarters in the Sherman House in Chicago. Registering as delegates from the McHenry Woman's club will be Mrs. Frank J. Gans, second vice-president, and Mrs. Paul Jessup, chairman of public affairs. It promises to be a busy and exciting three days which should prove meaningful and inspiring to those in attendance. Milwaukee Tour Milwaukee homes and gardens will be spotlighted on the M c H e n r y W o m a n ' s c l u b ' s "Tour to Milwaukee," scheduled for Friday, May 20. The annual house and garden tour is sponsored by the Layton School of Art League in Milwaukee. Houses to be visited will include a Georgian house With a sweeping staircase and furnished with Italian, Irish and English antiques; an inviting traditional town house decorated largely in blues; a rambling country house warm with mellowed color, with extensive wild and cultivated gardens; a three-level contemporary house impeccably designed by A. A. Tannenbaum; an early American informal country house, Regency house set high upon tasteful and comfortable; a a hill, furnished in Williamsburg style. • •-Christ Episcopal church will be the locale for the luncheon, served from 11:30 to 2 o'clock. Handicrafts from the Easter Seal shop will be on sale. Tourgoers may wish to pause in the Dorothy Shea Memorial garden at the church, which is handsomely planted and has a pool and fountain and statue of St. Francis. The Community Methodist church will be the point of departure, with the bus leaving promptly at 8:30 a.m. Reservations must be mads in advance as promptly as possible by phoning Mrs. Hugh Locker at 385-2300. Huemann, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. Ronald Raysby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raysby of Ingleside. Rev. Ernest Carder officiated at the 2 o'clock ceremony. The pretty bride chose a street length, white chiffon d r e s s w i t h l a c e s k i r t a n d sleeves. Her shoulder length veil fell from a pearl crown and she carried white carnations. Miss Gail Yungnickel, her sister, acted as maid of honor, dress, yellow net headpiece and a corsage of white carnations and yellow daisies. Tony Raysby of Ingleside served hi£ brother as best man. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Yungnickel selected a brown and yellow chiffon dress, beige accessories and a white carnation corsage. Mrs. Raysby wore a beige satin shift, blue accessories and a similar corsage. A reception for forty-five guests followed the wedding at the Yungnickel home. The newlyweds are making their home temporarily in the Riverside hotel. Both are employed in McHenry. Beeck of McHenry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beeck of Henning, Minn. Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Mary Stoerp, of Cary and the groom's sister, Mrs. Andrew Arvidson, of Minneapolis, Minn. Andrew Arvidson of Minneapolis served the groom as best man and ushers were Donald Stoerp of Algonquin and Fred Stoerp, Jr., of Mt. Vernon, brothers of the bride. ' Mr. ELECTION ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED BY GOT WOMEN Members of <he McHenry Township Republican Women's club, at their last meeting, voted for a change in meeting date for the month of May, only. The May meeting has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, at 8 p.m. at the Community Methodist church, McHenry. The change was made, as t h e p r e s i d e n t , M r s . . T o m (Boots) Davis and several members of the club will be attending a "Tribute to Phyliss S c h 1 a f 1 y " , s c h e d u l e d f o r May 17 in Rockford. Mrs. Schlafly is the immediate past president of the Illinois Federation of Republican Women. Mrs. Davis is downstate membership chairman of the I.F. R.W., and has been invited to participate in the program. The McHenry Township Republican Women on May 11 will present a discussion of issues. A spokesman for the proposed Forest Preserve District for McHenry county will present the issue to those in att e n d a n c e . M r s . D a v i s w i l l speak in opposition to the proposal. Though the public will not vote on the Revenue Article until November, there will be a discussion of the proposal, and questions will be answered concerning it. The speaker has not yet been announced. The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. BOYS INJURED DURING SCHOOL GYM CLASSES Two young boys suffered injuries in accidents in school gym classes last Thursday and were taken to McHenry hospital for treatment. Robert Lehr, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lehr of Wonder Lake, a freshman in McHenry high school, was struck in the eye while playing volleyball. The second lad was Dirk Grange, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Grange of Spring Grove, an eighth grade student in Lotus school. Spring Grove, while wrestling in a gym class. He sustained a broken jaw and Mrs. John Thennes are the paternal great-grandpaj^nts. Reservations must be made by May 5 with Mrs. Arnold Rauen or Mrs. R. B. Ulrich. EUGENE BOLDA NAMED TO AIR FORCE ACADEMY Eugene A. Bolda of. McHenry has been appointed to the United States Air Force academy at Colorado Springs, Colo. Eugene is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Bolda, 413 South Highland drive. Presently Eugene is a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Preparatory school located on the site of the Air Force academy at Colorado Springs. He graduated from Marian Central Catholic high school in 1964. Previously, Eugene attended Holy Cross seminary at La Crosse, Wis. In high school, Eugene participated in football, basketball and track and was a member of the French club.
