Coach Fulton fit into the picture with the ease of an old shoe. Seemed like he hadn't been away. Mayor Doherty expressed the pride of the community in Paul's conduct and accomplishments. As Fred Meyer presented the honored guest with a gift from those present, grateful emotion brought a • lump to Paul's throat and a tear to many eyes. Paul's parents, brothers, sisters and a grand grandma were one happy family as the program unfolded to honor a strong body is matched with strength of character. KFTMFLR Whoops! It is next to impossible to run a ball team in this day and age without a financial boost from boosters. YMC A Volleyball Tournament Won By Crystal Lake A team from Immanual Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake won the Lake Region YMCA girls round robin church volleyball tournament which was held on Tuesday, April 26. Five teams were entered in the one night tournament held at Crystal Lake High School in girls gym. Immanual Lutheran entered two teams, St. Pauls ^United Church of Christ in Crystal Lake entered one team, and two teams were entered by the youth groups of Ringwood, Mount Hope, and McHenry Methodist Churches. Final standings were: W Im. Lutheran No. 2 4 Im. Lutheran No. 1 3 Ring., Mt. Hope, McHenry "A" .2 St. Pauls United 1 Ring. Mt. Hope, , McHenry "B" 0 4 Girls on the combined Ringwood, Mt. The young athlete was presented with a diamond ring from residents of McHenry in acknowledgement of his ability in athletics. Forty-five brave gals played golf Tuesday in spite of the freezing cold weather. This was the opening day of the season and it was a 9 hole affair "a mixer" using the five iron and the putter.
