The main purpose of this association is to better the community as a whole, and to meet any problems that arise, and as a body of united homeowners, to solve these problems. * The association also holds social and fund-raising events to bring a closer unity, a^nd a closer friendship of all the neighbors in its community. At present, your association is trying to hold many activities for our youth, including a social evening at least once a month and a place for the young ballplayers to play our national pastime, baseball. In the future, we hope to have our own youth center where the children from the Manor can have healthy, educational, and social activities within easy reach, without traveling to the local towns, but right here in the Manor. There is also a need for winter sports, ice skating rink, etc. To fulfill just this segment which is just a small portion of the overall picture for our subdivision, we need the help of all the residents^ In order to make Eastwood Manor the best community in McHenry County, we need the support of all its residents. Many people have good ideas on how to improve our status, but for some reason or other, do not attend the monthly meetings regularly. If you have advice, suggestions, comments, complaints, where better to voice these opinions than before your friends and neighbors. If a problem arises, it is your duty to have the prob: lem rectified, and your association can help! The monthly meetings are held every third Friday of the month at the Eastwood Manor barns. Memorial Day holds many wonders! It is one of the few national holidays when the weatherman is usually kind, and the Elmer Borcovons received a phone call from Pat's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hankey and their son, Larry, from Alton, 111., who were passing thru McHenry.
