Known to all the children, and many adults t«>, 'Grandma Erjckson' was the one person flefiose life touched almost every resident. Ellen Erickson moved to Holiday Hills with her late husband, John, 10 years ago. She was active in the Holiday Hills Property Owner's Association and served as its treasurer for several years and was also active in the Holiday Hills Worn an's Club. She was one of the few who seldom missed a meeting of either organization. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper in her home right up until the last with her office in her home. In her capacity as collector of water bills here in the subdivision she had occasion to meet all of us and this always with pleasant conversation and a warm smile. The passing of Ellen Erickson will leave an empty spot in the hearts and lives of her many friends and neighbors. She leaves two sons, John. Jr., and Edward, and seven grand children. Our sincere sympathy to her family. Our sympathy also goes out to Virginia Lundelius and her family on the loss of her Dad. • Judy's 8th Birthday f Judy Abbink celebrated her eighth birthday with a party, cake, ice cream, candy, prizes and, best of all, a trip out to play miniature golf. (MU m U Too never mistake the meaning of a Church spire. Even to those who are cold to the ideals for •which the Church stands, that finger of faith always points to something that is comforting, reassuring, safe. The very presence rf a Church, whether in a crowded city street or on a quiet country road, is a benediction to all, including those who are Such an influence, with what it means to those who open their hearts to truth, is worthy of a second thought. It merits acceptance as a refuge. It commands confidence as a port in time of storm. The Church deserves your support -- your membership -- because it affords real protection for the family whose Welfare it is your duty to defend and whose proper upbringing is your solemn obligation. •WjPP -lljl'V-l , wmm *11 " ' - * ' * "" THE CHURCH FOR ALL. • The Church is tbe greatest factor on earth for the btrilding of character and good citizenship.
