Dud to the disappointing attendance at our last meetings we may decide to hold fewer meetings, probably one every three months. More on this when if is worked out. Dance Results The dance which was held on Oct. 1 went off very well and as usual the ones who attended had a fine time. Despite the fact that there were sixty-three families in the Shores who could not or did not care to sell even one ticket we managed to make a profit of $212 on the event which was not too much when the amount of work was considered. The Lexows, Howard and Joyce, received a bond for selling the most tickets and deserve a big SANTO ANDRE MAYOR EXTENDS HIS GREETINGS When Mayor Donald P. Remises Visit Csutis Lorraine and Dick Bemis took a week away from it all and went up to Cumberland. Wis. ,to visit Barb and Frank Csuti and family.. They enjoyed their stay with the Csutis, of course, but also thrilled to the breathtaking beauty of the trees of the North country in full color. Apology My apologies for missing Midge Teuber's name on the list of helpers for the Holiday Hills Women's Club bake sale. She too put in time and effort to make the ventre a successful one. In getting out of her car, she somehow injured her back and was taken to McHenry hospital, where she was put in traction and given thereapy treatments for the pain. IS Hi YW You take him for a walk around fhe block and people stop you to say, "What a beautiful baby!" You try to be modest about it, but your heart is bursting with pride. He ia the most beautiful baby -- and -- he's yours! Or is he? It can be pretty disturbing the first time you realize that your baby really isn't yours at all -- that you do not possess him. Yet the sooner you do realize it, the better. We can't possess another person no matter how dearly we love them. And in the case of our children, we are custodians, not owners. He is a beautiful baby--and you, naturally, want nothing more than for him to grow up into a fine young man. It is your responsibility, in the years ahead, to help him do so -- and you will find the strength and guidance to aid you in your task in your church. Start going to church this Sunday. Chances are that they've even got a nursery for beautiful babies! THE CHURCH FOR ALL • ALL FOR TIUC CIIURCM The Church is the greatest factor on earth for the building of character and good citizenship. It is a storehouse of spiritual values. Without a strong Church, neither democracy nor civ zation can survive There are four sound reasons why every person should attend services regularly and support the Church They ore (1) For his own sake (2) For his children's sake (3) For the sake of his community and nation. (4) For the sake of the Church itself, which needs his moral and material support Plan to go to church regularly and read your Bible daily Copyright 19S6 Keigter Advertiiing Service, Jnc Straiburn Va Sundoy Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 1 Samuel 1 Samuel Proverbs Hosea Luke Luke 1 Corinthians 1:3-1 1 1:19-28 23:13-25 11:1-7 15:11-14 15:25-32 6:15-20 <112? t <112? t <22? + <22? + <22? + <22? t <222? + <22? + <22? + <22? t <5i2? t <Si2?
