Strolling Through the Park It was a wonderful weekend as far as the kids were concerned. The annual skating party took place at the Herzog Beach and despite the chilly weather there were fifty and more skaters present. The races were held and prizes awarded to the fastest boys and girls in each age group; hot chocolate was served and the bonfire had lots of visitors, especially parents. A huge thanks to Stan Lezak and Ron Braun who not only organized the whole affair, but conducted the races and took care of everything. One left over from the evening was a blue and black man's glove whicty can be claimed at Lezak's. The phone is 385-4915. Kjm Cynowa had a very grown-up weekend as an overnight guest at Grandma Gartze's in Crystal Lake. They came on Saturday night in time for all the kids to take part in the skating party and then returned to cake and all the trimmings. This wajs their first chance to admire the new addition to the Arient abode. Don and Carole Humann journeyed to the big city to pick up friends, Marge and Phil Johnson, and proceeded to the loop to see a play. They had a little agony themselves when caught in a huge traffic jam on the Kennedy Expressway with little time to spare before curtain time.
