HERE Af ID THERE IN BUS SINESS PLAN LIVESTOCK CLINIC m AmA LATE THIS FALL , -V .• Livestock growers intheMc- Henry County area will have a chance on Jan. • 25 to hear a complete research and production story from a panel of national experts. The occasion is a day-long Livestock clinic at the Miller theater, Woodstock sponsored by several top manufacturers of livestock supplies. Committee chairman fop* the event is Ken Neville of Woodstock. He will coordinate the efforts of local dealers for the sponsoring companies in seeing that top farmers in this area are invited to attend the clinic. .^Arrangements for the event are being made by Farm Shows, Inc. of Madison, Wis. Only forty towns in an elevenstate midwestern area have been selected for livestock clinics in 1968. This will be in the first year for the full schedule on beef, swine and dairy, but the concept was tested in 1967 when hog clinics were held in fourteen locations. Goal of the clinic is for sponsoring company representatives to tell livestock growers about the most recent research in livestock partners. • A free hot meal at noon will provide a break before the afternoon talks. At 3 p.m., a halfhour question-and-answer sesh' sion will precede award presentations. Fairly new on the farm educational scene is this concept of bringing together a group of experts in various phases of agriculture to present an overall picture to large groups of farmers. Children crossing or entering a roadway not at an intersection is the most dangerous practice. Careful drivers will watch for children crossing in midblock or dashing from behind parked cars. School opening increases this hazard. FEATURE RECORD SYSTEM William J.
