Robin Christine arrived at McHenry hospital at 9:30 p.m; and weighed In- at 8 lbs. and 11 oz. Grandparents of the child are Mrs. Lillian Jensen, of the Estates, and Mr. and Mrs..Don Barger. CONDOLENCES Our deepest sympathy is extended to Johanna Matuszakand JoeiJost on the death of their brother, Vince, who lived with Joe and LaVerne. Burial was held last Tuesday. Our sympathy is also extended to John Ramsauer,°of 1622 Indian Ridge, on the death of his* wife. Mrs. Ramsuer had been bedridden for the last few years in a nursing home. Our prayers are extended for both souls. GIRL SCOUT OUTING A McHenry Cadet Troop and the Junior Girl Scout Troop 88 enjoyed a bowling outing on Saturday, Jan. 13. They played several games and had pizza afterwards. DEN 5 ATTENDS PACK MEETING Present at the Cub Scout 386-1173 Pack 452 meeting at the Hilltop school on Wednesday from Den 5 were Teddy Voight, Jr., and his mom, Ernie Von Oepen, Jr., Steven Boomfield, Howard Siepman, Ray Jensen, Jr., Kenny Simmons, Jimmy 'Perrewe and his dad, Steve Segerstrom and"Den mother* Sally Segerstrttar. Mel Simmons, Webelos leader Den 2, was there with Scout, Ernie Olsen and his mom. His den put on a humorous communication skit. HOLIDAY TRAVELER Ruth Smith was more in the sky than on the ground over the holidays. She and her son, Walter, flew to Toronto, Canada, to get her grandchildren on Dec. 26. While they were here they kept busy by visiting friends and relatives. On Jan. 3, they flew the children back to TO' ronto and returned the same day. Round trip is eleven hun dred miles. That's some flying. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Happy birthday today to Karen Kennebeck who is ten years old. The meeting was called to order by Senior Regent Marcella Strossner, who welcomed all guests and the gavel was given to guest senior regent, Lillian Birdsill of Antioch^ After the fourfold, balloting was held for new candidates. Child-care Chairman, Bertha English and her committee were in charge of the evening program with Friedena Miller, Elkhorn, Wis., as the guest speaker. Mrs. Miller certainly gave an encouraging and inspiring speech which was enjoyed by all. Jr. Graduate Regent Gloria Flannigan and Friedene Miller, Green, Cap girl from Elkhorn chapter, received special gifts from McHenry chapter. Green Beanie girl Gloria Flannigan also received a special gift from last Year's Green Cap girl, Eunice Tobey. Green Beanie girls from Elkhorn, Glen Ellyn, Woodstock, Fox Lake and Antioch were escorted to the altar and presented with gifts by Gloria Flannigan in behalf of McHenry chapter. Dorothy Hosier U in McHenry County hospital, Woodstock and would appreciate hearing from her co-workers. There will be a special joint meeting of the men and women to be held on Jan. 30. Doris Low wasn't present to receive the attendance award, but the special award went to Geraldine Mark?, a guest from Antioch. Special gifts were presented to Helen Nielsen, Doris Schabow, Muriel Gilmore, Eunice Tobey, Marion Vornkahl, Dora Krocker, Florence Tussey, Alyce Kowal, and guests from visiting chapters.
