SPONSOR WORKSHOP A state-sponsored workshop, "Geometry for Elementary Teachers", will be held for McHenry county teachers at Clarence Olson school, Woodstock, beginning on Feb. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The workshop will be directed by Elmer Stone. This workshop is a part of the Illinois Plan for the Improvement of Instruction in Mathematics and is sponsored under Title HI of the National Defense Education Act, utilizing federal funds. The workshop will meet for a twohour session each week for six weeks. No college credit will be given to participants, although boards of education are encouraged to allow professional growth credit. A certificate from State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ray Page will be presented to each participant who attends regularly.
