Each person walked on the occasion of his birthday last week. Letters had teen sent to by the cake and placed his candle on it, after which they were members ofthe church and those whom he has visited. Each letter lighted and the cake served following services Sunday night. Sunday, Feb. 18, marked a most important event for the First Baptist church when a record attendance made Pastor Virgle Chappell'birthday a huge success. Theme ofthe program, planned by the congregation, was "Give Our Pastor His Heart's Desi •e". The past year> vas recalled as one of the fine growth in the church. As a re.< ult, the church i s now making plans to build a new sanctuary in the near future. The prese it building, just 4 years old, will be adapted for additional SuncUy School classes. The spirit of growth was shown to be very alive, evidenced by the large number of visitors in the services on Sunday. THE MMffiF BOYS HUE NOTICE Public Notice is hereby given that on February 19th, A.D 1968 a certificate was' filed in the Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, setting forth the names and post-office addresses of all of the persons owning, conducting and transactihga the business known as DUKE HAVEN KENNELS, located at 1620 S. River Road, McHenry* 111. Dated this 9th day of February, A.D. 1968 Vernon W. Kays County Clerk (Pub. Feb. 16,23,Mar. 1, 1968) MIDDLE S CHOOL QUESTIONNAIRE . 1. Where vill the new Middle School be built? The new McHenry Middle school will be built in the general area of J :oute 120 and Ringwood road, west of the -city of McHenry. District 15 school board is pla ining its construction there because the McCullom Lake, ^akeland Park and Whispering Oaks area is the fastest grovring population area in the district, according toreliable predictions. The school is being biiilt in that area because a large portion of the student bcdy, then, would be walkers, catting down on transportation ','osts for the district. This location was decided upon after m jch deliberation and planning, and is the board's attempt to pick the best possible sight for the structure. 2. When will the Middle School be completed if we pas S the bond issue on March 9? When will it be completed if the bond issue fails? Conditions in the elementary district point to a critical situation next year, when every available classroom will be filled to overflowing with students. There is no possible way to finish the school in time for the 1968-69 school year, but if the bond issue passes, the school will be ready for opening in 19^9-70. If the bond issue fails, one more year, and one year's higher building costs (approximately $1 per square foot more if costs continUfetoriseasinthe past) will be added to the completion of the building. 3. Will the same mistake be made as was made with the new high school, not bonding for enough money so that the school board will have to come back to the public for more money to complete the structure? The District 15 school board has provided, in the sum of $2,- 000,000, a reasonable amount of money to act as a cushion to prevent the building construction costs to exceed the amount provided for it. If the building is constructed for less than the total, the savings will be passed on to the taxpayer. (If you would like to ask questions concerning the District 15 bond issue, please send your Questions to Central Administration Offices, 3926 W. Main, McHenry, or call 385- 7210) £ • SPECIAIi H•VOIIJHNMSil SiuIrPn^FJiNlJNflILl AVMGS! wttr- PRICE/SIZE COMPARISON DODGE POLARA V8 CHEVROLET IMPALA V 8 FORD GALAXIE 500 V8 HORSEPOWER 230 200 210 WHEELBASE 122" 119" 119" LENGTH 219" 214.7" 213.3" WIDTH 80" 79.6" 78" PRICE* (2-DR.
