Is yours a Sunday God -- someone to visit once a week? Do you believe in the all-forgiving God, ready and waiting to listen to a confession and ease the pangs of a conscience? Perhaps yours is the benevolent God -- the giver of great gifts and good fortune. We canno t truly "know" God on a part-time basis. God is eternal and omnipresent We can really know God only after we have seen and grasped the "message" of the fife of Jesus upon earth, only when we accept and understand the purpose of the death of Jesus on the cross. God sent forth His Only Son -- to live, to suffer and to die upon earth not without reason. In the life of Christ is found the example, the'guidelines for everyday Christian living. Christ died so that men may seek eternal s a l v a t i o n . There is no higher purpose, no greater sacrifice to be made. There could be no stronger evidence of an eternal, omnipresent God. Paul the Apostle reminded the Hebrews that God has spoken to them through His Son and, because of one gfeftt sacrifice for all sins, all men would come to know God. It is unlikely to suggest that Paul meant men would merely know of God -- or would recognize God upon infrequent occasions. II LUCK, BY HELEN HAH A Swedish supermarket chain has come up with a process that extends the convenience of a Tjoil-in bag for the first time to non-frozen foods. The new hot-packed foods can be stored up to 19 days and response of Swedish housewives has been enthusiastic. A scoop of dairy sour cream makes a delightful topping for fresh fruit desserts. Try it on fresh strawberries or blueberries. When freezing foods or leftovers, choose the right size container for your family. A quart container holds enough food for four to six servings and a pint container, two to three servings. For something different, try preparing and serving one of the less expensive cuts of beef. A blade chick of flank steak or other less expensive cut is delicious when properly prepared. Try braising -- that is, cooking the meat slowly in a small amount of liquid in a covered utensil. AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER 3-6-68 ITS AN IDEA -- Helen's Favorite Go-Go-Getter Dip 1 stick firm "store" type cheese 1 3 oz. pkg.
