Lakemoor was called out Wednesday, March 27, to a grass fire on Darrel road. McHenry had to be called out to help with putting the fire out. The lack of rain has made everything so dry that the grass goes up like it was soaked with oil or something. A lited cigarette flipped out of a car or by a person walking by could cause a serious fire. Please watch your cigarettes, put them out in your car ashtray. If you are walking and smoking make sure you step on the cigarette and it is out before going on. Also watch when you are burning trash in your trash cans on a windy day. One small hot ash could cause a grass fire. A fire out of control is not a nice thing. A REAL CLOSE CALL The high winds last Wednesday caused a near tragedy at Elmer "Kroncke's home.
