Only those who have traveled the rocky road, can tell how sorely the stones affect the feet. Try a little patience with the rest of the world. Do YOUR job without complaining that someone else is shirking responsibility. Give others a c h a n c e to e x p l a i n b e f o r e you start to complain. Move out of that little world you live in and see if there isn't a lot of good you can do with only a minimum of effort. Remember that selfishness travels only a one-way street, and generally a lonely one at that. Your own peace of mind will not be found atop some mountain, nor on some desert i s l e . Peace w i l l come with brotherhood, with understanding and, perhaps, with a common k n o w l e d g e of sorrow. By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Never My Love, Don't Sleep in My Subway, I Say a Little Prayer, theme from Valley of the Dolls, and Love Is Blue are but a few of ^ 4he- exciting sounds that will become synonymous with the Shearing keyboar^lftagic ; . . They're all to be found in the artist's latest LP -- Shearing Today, in which he gives his usual polished performance. The wonderful attractions that all listeners have come to expect in an A1 Martino rec o r d i n g are found in h i s newest release -- Love Is Blue . . . With sounds providedby a quartet of America's best arrangers (Pete King, Peter de Barardino, Charles Callello and Roy Straigis), A1 tailors his rich 9inging style to a bevy of favorites ranging from Love Is Blue to Georgia On My Mind, Lili Marlene, Going Out of My Head, Call Me and Watch What Happens. There is never any mistaking the resounding American baritone sound of Tenn e s s e e E r n i e Ford . . . In The World of Pop and Count r y H i t s , the e v e r f r i e n d l y sound of this richly distinctive voice is captured / . . Ford, the master entertainer, places his own brand of personal style upon such great sounds as Release Me, Old Cape Cod, Yesterday, Step to the Rear, Make the World Go Away and There Goes My Everything. Ernie has been a topn o t c h r e c o r d e r f o r many years and we doubt seriously that he will ever taper off as a solid entertainer . . . Whether its hymns or country-western, he's still tops in his field and he shows up at his best in this new LP. Marg&rette Orton <i)eul^e & Owen Ly. n..n. e E~. Nobody around Bagley, Wise, knows exactly how these two oaks were joined and "gave birth" to a little one. The generally accepted theory is that a surveyor nearly 100 years ago grafted the limb of one tree to the trunk of the other to mark a farm property line. In time, a branch grew out of the limb as straight and tall as the "parent" trees. / ten Franklin AfiH Be OPEN From 9 to 1 See Friday's Paper For Sunday Morning Specials Ages 13 thru 18 only Summer Employment -- Housekeeping -- Cleaning -- Baby Sitting -- P'STL© Lessons -- Sewing -- Gar Washing, Polishing -- Lawn Care -- I t e m s To B u y , S e l l , T r a d e , B a r g a i n F o r . . . .
