Riverside drive, in McHenry, than the huge, three-and one-half foot long stuffed Superdog. Bonnie was in McHenry hospital recuperating from an appendectomy when Sam Leibsohn, president of Gladstone's Department shore,gave her the dog she had won in a contest at the store. Superdog was the prize in a month long backto- school promotion by WKRS radio station in Waukegan. Since mid-August, children and their parents have been registering at Gladstone's for the giant red and white doge Bonnie, a fourth grader at Edgebrook grade school, turned to her mother as the dog arrived and said: "See, Mommy, I told you it was big". Then, as she disappeared under her prize, she added, "But not that big!" Adv. Following a month's leave at home, Steve returned to his base in California. From there he will depart for the Philippines, on Sept. 29 and will be there for 17 months. Our best wishes to Steve! MILK PRICES Exceeding the July figure by 10' cents, a minimum order blend price of $4.98 per hundredweight will be paid producers for Grade A milk delivered during August to plants within Zone 1 of the new Chicago regional federal milk market order, Pure Milk association, has announced. Zone 1 included the Illinois and Wisconsin territory within 85 miles of Chicago city hall, plus Milwaukee county, Wis., and Winnebago county, Illinois. The higher August blena price is due mainly to an increase inthe utilization of Class I (bottled) milk and a two-cent increase in the Class n (manufacturing) milk price. TWO GROUPS \ GIVE SUPPORT TO &OND VOTE The board of directors of the McHenry Chamber of Commerce and the Women's club of Holiday Hills endorsed the new Junior high school bond issue last week. The bond issue is scheduled Oct. 5 for District 15. Speakers are available for organizations and groiqis who wish to become well informed concerning the details of the $1,875,000 bond issue. Appointments for speakers should be made by calling Central Administration, 385-7210. Fact sheets outlining the issue will be distributed by the speakers and are also available at the Central Administration office, 3926 West Main street, McHenry. Inthepast ten years, enrollment in the elementary schools has almost doubled and in 1968 totals about 3,000 students. At the present time, wily 104 classrooms are available to handle the elementary population and some rooms have as many as 40-45 students, even after offices andteachertflounge have been converted to classroom space.
