THAT IMPORTANT VOTE i "Dear Editor: "Just a reminder to my Fellow citizens and voters in this decisive year of 1968. We hear a great deal about the risk of getting cancer from smoking cigarettes. I also would like to have you think about another cancer that is working to destroy the freedom of this great U.S.A. We have the so called human beings that are deluded with the idea that the world owes them a living. This does not apply to all of the poor or the drop-outs but a great amount of the blame must be given to certain politicians who want office only to gain for themselves what they desire. "History tells us that our population has increased and we have progressed to great comforts due to the brains of those who were gifted that way. But we must not forget that farmers to grow our food - builders to build us homes - tailors to make us clothes that we need - are just as important for without them - well you can use your imagination. Which means every one doesn't have to have a college education. In other words, someone has to pick the cotton. " Therefore, it is time, we call a halt to excessive spending until we can afford it. Up til the present time we have done very well with what we had. Higher and higher taxes only create more stress and feelings that go with it. "So when you go into the booth on Nov. 5, 1968, consider the" ones who are interested as you and I to keep this U.S.A. free. "Do you want the people to rule the government or do you want the government to rule you? Think this over. The time is short. "Mrs. Nettie Sarley "Lake moor" handle its amazing growth in orderly fashion. "McHenry is the first town in the county to have two public high schools and I, as editor of the new History of McHenry County, am happy that we will have architect's Rawing of this fine new facility in the book, together with details of the bond issue elections. We expect to have the book out this month of October, after encountering delays in the printing process. The McHenry township chapter has forty-eight pages.
