DRIVER HITS STEER A pick-up truck driven by William Kearns of Sumac drive in Wonder Lake, struck a Black Angus steer Monday night on Johnsburg road, Kearns escaped injury. He told deputies he was travelling west and he went over the crest of a hill and the steer rah down an embankment into the road. He was unable to avoid striking the animal.
