IT PAYS TO SHOP IN McHENRY Public Pulse "Dear Editor: "I would like to take this opportunity to encpurage everyone to write to their Illinois State Congressmen before the legislature convenes on Jan. 10 and ask them to gi^e us a little tax relief instead of adding more. "Ask them to introduce the Liberty Amendment which is badly needed in this country if we are ever to get out from under the bureaucrati cistern that is causing the inflation we are all witnessing at the present time. " The Liberty Amendment offers a solution and should be studied by everyone if they are not familiar with it. It is a lot easier to understand thai) the Federal Income Tax System ever will be. "The entire text of the Liberty Amendment follows and if it makes sense to you, please do something about getting your Congressmen to act on it now. 'Section 1.: The government of the United States shall not engage in any business, professional, commercial, financial or industrial enterprise except as specified in 'the Constitution. " 'Section 2.: The constitution or laws of any state, or the laws of '.he United States shall not be subject to the terms of any foreign or domestic agreement which would abrogate this amendment. " 'Section 3.: The activities of the United States government which violate the intent and purposes of this amendment shaft, within a period of three years from the date of the ratification of this amendment, be liquidated and the properties and facilities affected shall be sold. " 'Section 4.: Three years after the ratification of this amendment the sixteenth article of amendments to the Constitution of the United States shall ROBERT WILLETTS MAKE RELIGION . FAMILY AFFAIR The Robert Willett family who reside at 610 Dane street* Woodstock, have made their religion a family affair and are reaping the benefitp£it. They have found that femi$worship is the "spiritual cefnent" that can hold a family together in these critical times. Robert appreciates the cooperativeness it has built into his family by generating a confidence and mutual interest in each member. His wife, Hazel, is well aware of the fact that preaching God's Word door-todoor in her neighborhood as a familylhas eliminated the generation g&p that so many parents are fighting these days. And how do the children feel? Tim and Nancy enjoy sharing in their family's worship because they know they're doing something important. They also feel that it's helped them to better understand people and the world we live in. The family has weekly sessions at home where all contribute, each in his own way, to a study of specific Bible topics. It's quite a busy schedule, but they're trying to "buy out the opportune time" as the Apostle Paul put it in Colossians 4:5. That's why they're also setting aside Jan. 17, 18 and 19. That weekend they'll be at the Addison Trail high school, Route 53 and Army Trail road, in Addison, 111., attending the Circuit assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses and meeting with other Christian families to take in beneficial scriptural information that will be presented in Bible talks and demonstrations. The highlight of the assembly will be the public lecture, "God's Way Is Love" by A. B. Stutler at 3 p.m. on Sunday. All sessions are free and open to the public. .
