There will be a report forthcoming on the recently held ice fishing derby. Several openings appear on the board and these must be filled, including the office of secretary, and three trustees, and possibly one more. The Cullom-Knoll is a voluntary club which supports the beach and park. It is maintained by dues and fund raising projects. The club deserves commendation and support from members of the community. The C-K is also responsible for youth organizations, the summer festival, etc. Especially needed are senior citizens who have the time and vitality to contribute much needed effort in behalf of the community. It is true that, the village is incorporated and many feel that i the village board should take over the responsibilities of our most valuable asset. If this happens, the beach and park become public property, in its entirety. Check that little "gem" if you want your eyes opened to the facts.
