Honolulu has many fine hotels, buildings unlike any on the main land, and many more under construction, proving the tourist trade is flourishing. It was a new experience, to eat breakfast on the veranda, papya or some other exotic fruit to whet the appetite and watch the surfers riding the waves, palms waving in the breeze and , everywhere lush foliage and orchids. WHISPERS ABOUT FOLKS Mrs. Sue Devereux spent part • of Easter Sunday at St. Mary's cemetery, in Oak Lawn in remembrance of the birthday of her mother who passed away recently. Sue's whole family were together and had their dinner at the home of Mike, Jr., which is close by. The pinochle club enjoyed a luncheon viewing the new styles at the showing. Mrs. Willson had the Canasta club at her home Wednesday, Teddy Ammerman won the first prize. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klewitz of Sussex had their son and family of three children home for Easter. Mrs. Klewiz* inlaws were there also. They will be moving to Florida soon. They all had a wonderful day together. Mr. and Mrs. Young of 4414 Sussex spent the Easter weekend with their daughter J'Pamela, who is attending the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. NEW GRANDSON Mr. and Mrs. Krajcik ofSussex have a new grandson, Scott Raymond Schaebb. VISITS GRANDPARENTS Gary Therens of Cleveland flew here alone, to be with his grandparents of Sussex drive. O'Brien of 1106 Essex celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Raymond O'Brien will come to live with them, and they will have a built -in baby sitter. NEW RESIDENTS Charles and Lois Dietz just moved in their new home at 4709 Chesterfield drive. They have nine large Oak trees in their yard. They love the area very much. Their son, Bob, has been in Vietnam for a year and has signed up for an extension. They have another son, Charles, working as a physicist, for the government and going to college for his PH. degree.
