PRIMARY DATE Illinois primary election day was changed to the third Tues day in March when Gov. Rich ard B. Ogilvie approved Sen ate Bill 770. In 1966 primary election day was changed from the second Tuesday in April to the second Tuesday in June. Annual sessions on the Gen eral Assembly would conflict with the June primary, pro ponents of the new change argued. SB 770 also amends the Election Code-,4o adjust voter registration dates to the pri mary. Registration will be from the fourth Monday in April to the third Monday in September and from the third Tuesday of November to the third Tuesday of January each year. !•' I I I I I I I I I I I I I I DELTA PREMIUM TIRE 7.75 X 14 7.75 x 15 $24.00 8.25 x 14 8.25 x 15 $25.00 8.55 x 14 8.55 x 15 $27.00 PREMIUM WHITE WALL $1.50 E^C. ; Delta Tires are guaranteed more miles per ** , dollar than any other tire. Tell me about your plans, And I'll tell you mine too. I prefer more to save and sun A lion's life is really soft you see, I suppose you're quite to do My friends tell me you ski. Sports are not my venture really A life of ease appeals the more I feel one should savor life Lions really don't like to roar. Life's so civilized for us now Jungles offer nothing but view I hear the Humans are fighting again Why not join us at the zoo! 7 COGNITO, ERGO SUM My brother is Mankind, My sister is Nature, My family, the objects you see, My home is me. THE OLD MAN There was an old man The children laughed, the people too. They all wondered, but never knew Of what he did, or what did he? They never knew you see. I often thought of him. After all it seemed quite queer. Never smiling, never caring, Does he really know we're here? I watched him going about his day, Very mechanical with every move. With always nothing to say, He did his deeds, But what does that prove Many days appeared the same. I often thought to speak. Though the words never came, His life did seem so bleak. From dawn through day, The old man would do and done. Till soon we all forgot. That is all 'cept one. Me, I watched, but never knew, Of when he left the hill. Strange that he never spoke. Perhaps he's there still. Who lived on the hill. He never laughed, he never cried I guess he's there still.
