Mike is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stepehn Major of 1918 W. In­ dian Ridge drive, Sunnyside Estates. The young serviceman returned from overseas Sept. 24 and was processed into civilian life the same day in Oakland, Calif. He spent thirty-one months in the Army, with basic training in Ft. Campbell, Ky., then to Ft. Eustisr~Va.. for multi-engine repair training and finally to over­ seas duty. He plans to attend a junior college and then continue his education at Southern Ill­ inois university. He and Mary Larkin will be married in St. Patrick's Catholic church on Saturday, Oct . 18. Mary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Larkin of 3408 W. 1st avenue, McHenry.
