Later, the> plan to repaint them so that they will be appro­ priate to the study of Indians. David Spencer and Lee Griesbach, class members, described the process in this way: "When we first start­ ed tn make our masks our teacher would put a piece of cloth over our heads and cut out the eyes and nose. Then we put tape over the cloth to make the mold. Theh we mixed paper mache and put about five layers of it and one layer of paper towels to make it smooth. Then we let it dry so it would harden.
