Recall Life Of Former Resident Who Died Recently A former resident of Spring Grove, Mrs. Julia Vidvard Koon of Wonder Lake passed away, the result of a heart at tack, on March 1 in Woodstock Memorial hospital. Her father, a retired Colonel J.P. Vidvard and family came from Chicago to make their home in the Grass Lake area. Mr. Vidvard ac quired many acres of land there and built summer homes in the portion that is now Oakland sub division. Their old homestead still stands but remodelled. Jul ia was the youngest of three sisters and a brother. She at tended the Creek school which was located one mile east of town on the corner of Main Street Road and Wilmot Road. She also attended St. Peter's Catholic school. Many will re member how she would drive a pair of spirited Shetland ponies around town. She was noted for her kindness to unfortunate peo ple. Recently she resided in Wonder Lake where she has lived the past fifteen years. Here too she made many friends, who will miss her greatly. She was the last sur vivor of Vidvard family. MEETING DATES The Lotus Country Woman's Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, March 18, 1 p.m. The date has been changed to Thursday, March 18, rather than Wednesday the usual meet ing day because of the card party and luncheon which will be held in St. Peter's parish hall on March 17 starting at noon. Bible Study Discussion For J McHenry Women A special training program for women interested in Bible study discussion groups will be held Tuesday afternoons at 1 p.m. beginning March 16. The sessions are a preliminary pro gram of the Billy Graham Cru sade to be held in Chicago in June. This training program is planned to train women in dis cussion leadership techniques. It will include experience in group discussion, to learn by doing, as well as basic meth od and technique to discover working principles. The Billy Graham Evangelist association has prepared ques tion and answer type studies to be used by discussion groins as part of the follow-up pro gram of the Crusade in June.
