ELM - McHENRY The Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club will sponsor its 21st annual all- breed Dog Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds, Rts. 45 and 120, in Grayslake on Sunday, June 20. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year, the club expects to draw in excess of 2,000 Pure-Bred entries, making it one of the top 50 Dog Shows in the nation. The Chain O' Lakes K.C. shew ranks as one of the top shows in the Midwest. In addition to the Breed, Group, and Best in Show judging, there will be classes in Junior Showmanship, with a special award for Best Junior Handler. This competition is for boys and girls ages 10 through 16 who have made their entries in ad­ vance. Large entries are expected from breeds having Specialty Shows in the area the day before. These include English Setters, Dachshunds, German Shepherds, Afghan Hounds, and Welsh, Fox, Irish and Bull Terriers. The German Wirehaired Pointer Club of Illinois will be holding their Specialty Show in conjunction with this show and the Chicagoland Shetland Sheepdog Club and the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the U.S. will support the entries of their respective breeds at this show. This year's Show Chairman is Byron Levene of Libertyville, who will be aided by Club members from all parts of Lake and McHenry counties.
